Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old School Grilling Had the same larger Weber for 27 years ,it finally needed replacement, so we bought a Weber little one, almost a table top. It was ok but didn’t work as well as the original kettle design. So, we decided to get back to what we originally had but didn’t need the large size and we saw the 18” that was almost identical to our first one. This grill does a very nice job for grilling. If you enjoy cooking with charcoal, and don’t want to spend a lot of money then the Weber original kettle grills may be the grill for you. Take care of it, and it will provide great meals for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size I was concerned about the 18" size I purchased to replace a 22" original charcoal kettle, which was not in stock at the time, but it's perfect. Less charcoal used, adequate grill space, less heavy but still substantial not flimsy, easier to store. Assembly took some thought and muscle but took less than an hour. Same great results grilling rib eyes, hot dogs and sausages, foil packets of vegetables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best grill made My last 18 inch weber I had for 10 years, used two sets of grills, finally the bottom lever that goes back-and-forth to release the ashes, parts of it rusted away, the kettle itself with steel 100% intact, so I went ahead and bought another 18 inch, which I have had for about two months I will not use anything but a weber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and upgradable. A great little grill as is but very versatile and upgradable too, just like all current Weber kettles. Had a Smokey Joe Platinum since around 2005 for camping but it had an airflow issue that prevented temps from getting good and hot unless the lid was off or cracked. Great for smoking but had limits in grilling. This fixes that and as a bonus, it has legs. Ordered an ash catcher as the shallow pan is just a mess, especially if it’s windy or rains.

I hadn’t used charcoal for many years opting for the convenience of a Weber gas grill at home. However for our summer cabin I didn’t want the hassle of gas cylinders and opted for charcoal. No regrets…the charcoal lights fast and the heat is very controlled. Im very happy with my purchase.
