It has tundra in the name for a reason. Whether for a weekend camping trip, a family barbeque, or a long beach day, this YETI cooler has got you covered. With 2 inch thick insulated cooler walls and a freezer-quality lid gasket, ice stays frozen much longer so you can keep cool all day.
Stronger than strong, the YETI Tundra 65 cooler makes no compromises when it comes to build quality. Approved by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC), the YETI Tundra 65 cooler is bear-proof when used with approved Master Locks.
The attention to detail doesn’t stop there though; the YETI Tundra 65 cooler has a NeverFail Hinge System to ensure the lid of the cooler will never break even when under pressure, as well as BearFoot Non-Slip feet to prevent it from slipping around on the slick deck of a boat. To top it off, the YETI Tundra 65 cooler even comes with a leak proof Vortex Drain System, gone are the days of struggling to flip your cooler over to empty it after a long day out.
Okay. This is our YETI Tundra 65. This is a great, large, all-purpose cooler, very popular cooler, because it's versatile for all kinds of applications, including inshore fishing, hunting, camping, tailgating, you name it. 65's a great cooler.
It's large enough to hold over two cases of drinks with plenty of ice. It's also large enough to lay keeper redfish in the bottom, and this cooler's our smallest that we recommend for keeping clean quartered white tail deer.
The 65 is large enough to handle some of those big jobs yet still manageable enough to be carried around by yourself. Also, a lot of guys use the 65 as a casting platform on their bay boats because it gives you a large, stable area to stand on when side casting or drift fishing.
The Tundra series feature durable rubber T-latches with molded in latch keepers. They have an integrated full-length self-stopping hinge, which will not hyper-extend. Unlike ordinary coolers, YETI's feature of full-frame freezer quality gasket that seals around the entire lid to minimize air exchange.
There are built in tie down slots for solid mounting that allow access to cooler contents. You can't break the handles on a Tundra. Each has two styles: nylon rope with a texture grip as well as an integrated handle to make carrying easier.
The screw in gasketed drain plugs are leak-proof and rugged. Each has a dry goods rack to prevent soggy sandwiches. All Tundras have two inches of insulation throughout the cooler body and three inches in the lid where it matters most.
Non-slip, non-marking rubber feet help keep the cooler where you put it. The Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee certified Tundras as bear-resistant food containers when used with two padlocks on both front corners.
There you have it. That's our Tundra 65.
