Quick setup. Except...
Plugging everything in was easy. The part where Xfinity have to activate it was time consuming. Resetting to factory setting helped clear activation hurdles.

We had Spectrum's modem for a year and had very slow speeds. We done some research and this was highly recommended. We have had it now for a few weeks. We went from 68mps to 136mps during peek times and 116 to 310mps on off peek times. Wish we moved to this last year.

Replacing Old Netgear Modem
Redecorated home office that required moving all internet connections and equipment. In the move the modem on/off switch was damaged. Replaced the old netgear modem with a new one. Our speed increased from around 200 Mbps to high 300s Mbps,

Works great!
I bought the CM1200 after I had bought a competitor’s and had to spend a full day working with my internet provider on why my wireless wasn’t working (the modem wasn’t sending any info to my wireless router). When I connected the CM1200 and had it activated, it worked. It communicated perfectly with the wireless router. The speeds are great. I highly recommend the CM1200.

The CM1200 was just what we needed at just the right price and, after a quick stop at our local cable provider's store for registration, we had exactly what we were hoping for in a new heart to our network within five minutes of taking it out of the box. Being regular Netgear customers for some years now, we were very pleased, but not suprised.
