This is my first time jumping out of the competitor branded bubble and buying this brand and I’m so glad I did. I love that I chose the all stainless steel. The look is magnificent and it cooks well. It cleans up just as well. I have always been a huge fan of convection features. This range gives me so many options with the bottom drawer being useful for cooking as well. I’m looking forward to the holidays.

Outstanding Major Appliance

The range was purchased as a replacement of a KitchenAid Superba slide in range that I purchase in 2004 when we remodeled our home in Houston, Texas. I had a wonderful experience with the 2004 model and look forward to great things with the new range.
The new features are outstanding - 5 burners with a middle oval burner with a griddle and a much larger oven cavity and a lower warming oven. So far I love the range and will cook even more!!

Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so happy with this range. I love the griddle and the oven temperature is spot on. Only complaint with it so far is the simmer function on the left front burner. I’m having trouble with it going out. At least I smell the gas quickly and I’m able to turn it off. I’m looking at getting a simmer plate to see if that works on the low flame for simmering.

But was surprised everything you need to do for the self-cleaning with the water etc. Our old oven just required you to slide a level to self-clean and the oven did the rest. When we bought the oven, we just assumed it would operate the same.

Only issue or feature I would like to see is a way to turn the control panel on or off so i don't have to worry about my cat starting to bake something in the oven while I'm out.

Love is an understatement

The ease of using this stove is ridiculous! No long time wait for it to ignite, no guessing if the oven has stayed lit, it works the way it’s supposed! And the convection feature, well all I can say is- amazing! The warming drawer has been used regularly, AND you can bake in that drawer as well! I can’t say enough good things about this stove. Yes I love this stove!

Guess that's a safety feature, but if feel need more time to bake, etc., then need to reset temp. Maybe there's a way to override that, but haven't figured it out yet! But, seriously, you will love this range!

Is this a downdraft?
This is not a downdraft stove. There are four vent holes at the rear of this stove. The two middle appear to be the exhaust and intake appears to be the two outer vent holes. You will need to install an under cabinet exhaust fan or a microwave with exhaust fan (at minimum) above the stove. I opted to install a professional telescoping (to the ceiling) hood with external venting to the outside. Kitchenmaid only seems to only make an under cabinet but very solid unit. I hope this helps.
