Don't hesitate to buy this frig, it's worth it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading what felt like a million reviews, I was afraid to purchase any refrigerator, regardless of the brand. I was extremely hesitant to purchase this one because of it's price tag, however I've been so happy with it that the money doesn't bother me any more.
The main reason I wanted this frig was for the design (bottom freezer, frig on top with single door, and no water features on the door). As a bonus, it also has a butter shelf. Any other frig I looked at would have forced me to lose one or more of these features.
Based on past reviews, my concerns when purchasing this frig, aside from the cost, were 1) the tabs on the crisper drawers, 2) the seal on the frig door after the freezer was opened then closed and 3) the bottom meat/cheese drawer. I had read the tabs above the crisper drawer had broken for some people. I can see how that could happen in the future, but the tabs don't stick out as much as I thought they would, so I'm not concerned. I do think this is a design that should be changed on future models of this frig. Yes, the frig door seals extra tight just after you've opened then closed the freezer door, but it hasn't prevented me from opening the frig and it doesn't pull the frig out of place at all. I'd much rather have this temporary issue that a poor seal all the time (which I've seen on other frig brands). The bottom meat/cheese drawer does not move extremely smoothly and is the feature I find most annoying, but I can live with it because of how much I love everything else.
What I love about this frig is the color (of the sides just as much as the stainless steal door; it just looks nice). I love all the options I have for the layout inside. It's very quiet (we did not hook up the ice maker, which may or may not make a difference in noise level). The quality of manufacturing just appears better (more attention to detail, less insulation creeping out of crevices like I've seen in some Whirlpool models). The drawers don't hit the door when the door is opened at 90 degrees like some GE models I saw in-store. I still like whirlpool and GE for other appliances, but I think I'm sold on Maytag for refrigerators.

My Hands Don't Leave Fingerprints
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was delivered on June 02, 2023. So, I've had it for only 1-1/2 months.
The Maytag refrigerator is beautiful with its simple lines and bottom tub-freezer. So far, there has been no frost or ice to remove. The stainless steel finish is easy to wipe down with a damp cloth to make it look brand new. My hands don't leave any prints on the stainless steel. The refrigerator works well; the food stays fresh and edible, or frozen solid at the level of 4, which the delivery man set for me.
I originally had a white refrigerator which opened up my kitchen space. However, the color stainless steel is much darker and makes my kitchen look smaller. It makes consistent, but sporadic, quiet sounds of clicks and hums of operation, even though I don't have the ice maker connected. I'm still enjoying my new refrigerator.

It will take some getting used to. we make our own ice, because our sink is 10 feet away from the refrigerator space. We cannot reasonably run water to the included, filtered ice maker unit in the 'fridge.
I love not having to bend over to retrieve items from the crispers at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment. I am 6'-0" and it was becoming more and more difficult as I get older.
