Have noticed electrical odor when first using the microwave portion but seems to be abating as time and usage go by. May be related to similar odor on first convection uses as protective coating on heating element has to burn off.

I was disappointed when it died, but it gave me an excuse to get one that matches my other kitchen appliances! The microwave functions work great and the sensor reheat seems faster than on my previous models, despite them being basically the same. So far, it's a worthy successor.

Neither this one, nor its predecessors, have disappointed.. Versatile, easy to use and clean, well constructed, and long-lasting. Microwave, convection, and combo settings all help produce great results with minimal time and effort. The downloadable cookbook/user guide is easy to follow, and is especially helpful if you're new to this type of oven. With a good service contract supplementing the warranty, repair (which I only needed once in the past) doesn't come with sticker shock. I'll never go back to gas!

We had the same unit (but with different model #) that lasted about 11 years without a problem until it finally died of old age. I just hope they keep on making this so that in another 11 years (or so) when the time comes, I can replace it with the same.
