This is an exact replacement for an identical 12-year-old Weber Adapter Hose I purchased in 2011 for use with our Weber "Q" grill to use a large tank, saving the cost of buying so many individual propane canisters. After 12 years of weekly 3-season use, our Q grill is still in great shape, but the old rubber adapter hose became rock-hard with age and began to leak at the grill connector end. I was thrilled with the extremely fast shipping and delivery of this item! I discovered the leak on a weekend, placed the order that night, and had the replacement hose in my hands by midweek. The replacement cost seems a bit high, compared with other 'knock-off brand' adapter hoses, but when amortized over a decade or more of future use, there's no point in risking my safety with an inferior product to save a few dollars.

The "adapter hose" I purchased is the perfect length for this new set up. If I ever need to use the grill on portable basis again, I can just go back to the little camper size gas bottles.

I paid more than other sellers were asking just because it was a Weber product and I am using it on a Weber product. After all, it's just a hose. Proof is in the puddin' though. I'll post if I have any issues down the line.

Difficult to find online and had to use a link in a really old article to even get to it. Weber could make it easier to find on their site (and link it to Que accessories maybe?)

Was so surprised that it will also work on the new Gas Go Anywhere grill, so if I do not want to use the small portable gas tanks I will order another Adapter hose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Useful! I bought this a couple of months ago because I got tired of buying 1 lb. propane cylinders for the 1980's camping grill I inherited from my father. The small cylinders are inconvenient and wasteful, since you cannot have them refilled, and I already keep a 20 lb. tank for my home-brewing burner. Anyway, the adapter fits perfectly, even though the grill I use it on isn't a Weber. It is very well made. The hose feels solid while remaining quite flexible; the brass fittings are heavy and nicely-machined, and everything threads together easily and tightly with no leaks. I can see using this adaptor for many years with no issues.

The hose is shorter that the original Weber (4ft) and much less flexible than the new Weber replacement that. Live and learn. I should have gone with the Weber from the start. OEM parts are always the way to go. I am happy to state that I am 45+ year Weber fan/user.

The Adapter Hose to use a large propane tank on my Weber Portable Grill works exactly as advertised AND it save money by using a large, refillable propane tank rather than the small, compact tanks that came with the grill.
