funky gas hose
I was excited to receive the adapter hose. I hooked it up to my Q1000 so excited. The only problem was the burners were set on high. I burnt my ribs but just wrote it off as new hose. After checking I noticed the flame didn't adjust. Just the same volumne of flame. I am very disappointed.

Plastic gasket breaks!
Internal gasket in tank connector keeps breaking. Cheap off-white plastic. Have seen lots of complaints with photos of this gasket in pieces. The attached photo is exemplary. This is exactly what happens.
This is my second adapter hose in which the gasket has crumbled and fallen off. The hoses are otherwise in perfect confusion...now useless landfill.

Safety first!
This is an exact replacement for an identical 12-year-old Weber Adapter Hose I purchased in 2011 for use with our Weber "Q" grill to use a large tank, saving the cost of buying so many individual propane canisters.
After 12 years of weekly 3-season use, our Q grill is still in great shape, but the old rubber adapter hose became rock-hard with age and began to leak at the grill connector end.
I was thrilled with the extremely fast shipping and delivery of this item! I discovered the leak on a weekend, placed the order that night, and had the replacement hose in my hands by midweek. The replacement cost seems a bit high, compared with other 'knock-off brand' adapter hoses, but when amortized over a decade or more of future use, there's no point in risking my safety with an inferior product to save a few dollars.

Broke in less than a year
I bought this adapter hose last summer and a few months ago, returned a tank thinking there was something wrong with it as I couldn’t get my Q series to light. Well, the next tank didn’t work either. Just had a piece of the plastic washer fall out as I was trying once again to get grill started and looking inside, realized that was all that was left of the washer. It had apparently crumbled away. Seeing the reviews, this must be a common issue. And this hose is expensive! Love my grill, but not this hose.

Does not work
Two calls and many tries. They are sending a new one but I am pretty sure this is a dud. I am nervous enough around propane and this is not helping.

Adapter Hose Part No. 6501 stopped working!
I bought the Weber Adapter Hose Part No. 6501 and the white plastic washer inside the Green screw connector broke up and would not supply gas to the Q1200- it would not light, so I had to just buy another hose since I could not find the white washer.

Helps cut down on waste.
I wish it was three foot longer. Three more feet I think would be better for me as I have a table top model.

Adaptor Hose
I have had this piece for a little over a year and never had this happen to me before on a hose adaptor. The spacer or washer inside the end that connects to the tank disintegrated basically and is now not usable so I have to buy another one. I usually have high praises for everything Weber but this part is not up to Webers usual par.

Failed to work after roughly a year.
Purchased in May of 2021 to use with my Go Anywhere and later on my Q1000. Barely a year old and the plastic collar broke on the tank side of hose so it won't let propane through. I am firm believer in Weber quality but this hose is lacking.

Less than one year and propane no longer flows
Less than one year and propane no longer flows (second off brand hose works fine).
I believe there used to be a washer inside the green cap. It is not longer there.

white washer inside green knob broke into pieces
after about a year of use, I had the same experience as so many others: it worked fine at first, but then when changing the tank I could not get it to properly attach. Looked inside to see broken pieces.

Gas leaking from hose connection to tank
Bought an adapter hose to fit on 20 gallon propane tank. Going on vacation 9/21 had grill and propane tank turned off. Went to disconnect at the tank (green handle) and propane came spewing out, all over my hand and arm. I ended up with burns from the propane fuel on my hand. I went to urgent care to get it looked at. Hand no idea at the time that the culprit was the green turn valve, like so many reviews here. I took my 20lb gas tank out to a company for disposal, fearing the issue was the connection on the tank. Got a brand new one, and recently went to disconnect the line from the tank and a lot of the gas came spilling out again! This time I avoided another burn but it was so much that the gas stunk for a while. Yes, both the grill and the tank were turned off prior to the disconnect. I went to this website and just now read all the reviews with faulty hose, that I too purchased. I took a look inside the green valve, and didn't see a white valve ring, but did look like one did exist there at one time but had broken off. So, this problem caused me to have to seek treatment at Urgent care and discarded a 20 lb cylinder for nothing and purchased a new one that did nothing to correct the problem. It was with the hose itself. Now only way to potentially use this grill is to convert it back to using the small propane bottles which is an expensive way to do a lot of grilling, plus they are hard to find.

Always Works Perfectly
Other such hoses work only sporadically with the Q2200 and 1200. I’m not sure what is different about this official Weber hose, but it always works perfectly.

Q1000 Grill not just a portable grill
I made a grill cart to put my portable Q1000 Grill on and upgraded to a 20# gas bottle. The "adapter hose" I purchased is the perfect length for this new set up. If I ever need to use the grill on portable basis again, I can just go back to the little camper size gas bottles.

So far so good
I've only had this hooked up for about a week. So, 5 stars means: It works. I paid more than other sellers were asking just because it was a Weber product and I am using it on a Weber product. After all, it's just a hose. Proof is in the puddin' though. I'll post if I have any issues down the line.

Stop using the canisters!
Love the ability to have a large LP tank on the grill. I have bought off brands of this adapter in the past and the gas flow was not nearly as good and the strength of the hose was much better.

Hose keeps rupturing
I have now purchased my third hose and they keep rupturing while attached to tank and grill. There is no regulator on this hose and I open the tank slowly while attached. I think there is a design defect in this hose or the grill itself.

Needs a squirrel deterrent!
I'm about to replace my hose for the second time. Darn squirrels have chewed again! Weber needs to update this hose with a covering to help prevent squirrel damage. For the price this hose costs, it's ridiculous. My grill is less than two months old - so sorry I chose it and will never buy another Weber.

Hose deteriorates, leaks oil
I purchased a genuine Weber adapter hose to use with my Weber Q about 8 years ago. Have not used it much and usually leave it attached to the tank and grill under a covered patio during the summer grilling months. Always turn the gas off at the tank and let the propane burn out at the end of the grilling session to relieve pressure in the hose. However, the last time I changed out the propane cylinder I noticed oil dripping out of the collar at the tank end. After doing a little research, I found that oily plasticizers leaching from rubber high pressure propane hoses is a common issue. These hoses should come with a warning to always disconnect the hose from the appliance and the tank when not in use. Don't know yet if the oil has damaged the regulator in any way. Perhaps someone at Weber can offer some insight on this issue.

Great product for a great grill!
The adapter hose is very good. I wish rodent would frequently chew on the hose. Maybe create a rodent guard. Also make it more available in box stores. It took me a month to get it.

White Plastic Collar Broke
Used this adapter hose for about a year and a half. As others have experienced the white collar inside the green knob came apart. Without this white collar the hose cannot make a connection with the propane tank. I would not recommend purchasing this hose, it is not designed to last.
