Best charcoal grill for the price.
Excellent charcoal grill. Good sturdy grates and heavy gsuge steal body. I'm not crazy about the flip up sides on the top grate, however. Doesn't really serve me a purpose. If I need to add more charcoal I will remove the cooking grate regardless. I do not grill with indirect heat though, so the flip up sides will be beneficial for those that do.

So nice, I did it twice!
I've owned an original kettle for the past 7 years and have loved every grill on it. It's older and a bit beat up from the elements, so I bought a new one just a bit ago. I looked around at other grills and decided I already had the best grill so I'll just refresh/upgrade what I already love! The copper color really pops! So I can put the ole reliable as a backup for when I host guests. These things can do it all, including smoking and bbq style!

Weber Kettle Grill still a great bargain
This is my 3rd weber grill purchase in 30 years and it is still a quality product. This newest grill seems just as well built as my previous grills. I like the addition of the temp gauge in the lid! I won't have to drill a hole and ruin the finish adding one myself. Great 1st grill for a beginner griller or replacement for a user of many seasons. A little care will result in a grill that lasts for many years.

Great Grill
Weber never disappoints! I purchased this grill because I love the taste of charcoal grilled food. I know it takes longer, but it’s worth it in the end when it comes down to taste. I also used charcoal briquettes to slowly smoke some ribs. It took 6 hours for 2 racks of St Louis style ribs and the taste was fantastic! The new lid design was also helpful because I didn’t have to find somewhere to lay the lid while checking on the food

Can regulate temp my self,can also cook with indirect heat or sear without any electronics malfunctioning to mess up my meat, I like being involved in my cooking. Got rid of a pellet smoker and grill went back to weber,thank you weber.

Amazing grill!
I have owned Weber gas grills for as long as I can remember, but this is my first kettle. Very short learning curve, and this is a very forgiving grill. Everything I have cooked so far has been amazing. Cooking the food is almost as much fun as eating it. Almost!

Traded my 30yr old for new for my own Xmas present
Replacing my 30yr old Weber warhorse with this forest green sweetheart! The old one has seen so many wonderful dinners I am looking forward to retiring with this one and the ash catcher is a huge upgrade. I do wish the my had kept 2 handles on the lower half for loading into the truck but I'll get by. Assembly was a breeze and the initial burn in and cook went excellent. Looking forward to many more years with this one!

Is this grill able to work with wood instead of charcoal?
I’ve used standard charcoal briquettes and pressure treated, charred hardwood in my Weber grill, and both work great. You may need to adjust your cooking time for the hardwood, as briquettes tend to burn slower and last longer than natural wood.
