Air Conditoners: Installation and Plug Types

Installation and Plug Types
When selecting a room air conditioner, also consider the installation. Will you be installing this in your window? Will you be installing it through your wall? Or, will you be installing a portable air conditioner, which will allow you to move the air conditioner from room to room? This will help you determine which type will best suit your needs.

All air conditioners must also be plugged in. What type of plug do you have at your home? Plug types today are available in multiple configurations; you have a 110 volt 15 amp plug, 110 volt 20 amp plug, and now 220 volt plugs available in 15, 20, and 30 amp configurations. If you need to change an outlet to accommodate your new air conditioner, you never want to change the outlet yourself; always consult a professional electrician.
