Does P.C. Richard & Son offer in-home service?

Yes, a factory-authorized service technician will come to your home for repairs on all home appliances and TVs 37" & larger. Most appliance service calls can be made in your home the very next day, 6 days a week. Loss of refrigeration calls receive top priority.

Why do you need factory-authorized, trained technicians and special test equipment for complex or minor repairs?

What we determine to be a "minor" repair may not always cover the full spectrum of the work done. What may seem "minor" does not reflect the long hours, special test equipment and expertise in electronics needed to diagnose the actual problem. It takes skilled factory-trained technicians with full knowledge of the product to make the necessary repairs.

Can I track my electronics repair on PCRichard.com?

When you provide us your email address or cell phone number when initiating your repair, we will send you an email or text message with updates throughout the repair process. In addition, you can monitor the status of your repair from start to finish by simply entering your service order number into our web-based tracking system.

What if the product is under manufacturer's warranty?

P.C. Richard & Son service will repair all items covered under the warranty at no charge to you using our very own factory-authorized technicians. However, there are times when P.C. Richard & Son is required by the manufacturer to send merchandise directly to them for repair. We may also utilize our vast network of manufacturer-authorized third party service companies.

What if I have purchased a P.C. Richard & Son extended service protection agreement?

All items covered under an extended service protection agreement are repaired at no charge to you. If P.C. Richard & Son determines that your product is unrepairable, we will replace it with a product of comparable performance, not to exceed the original purchase price. For display models, we reserve the right to issue a store credit for the original purchase price.

What if I purchased an IPR - "Inoperative Product Replacement" agreement?

For small appliances & personal electronics where an "IPR" is purchased, we will provide an "over-the-counter exchange" free, if the product should malfunction within the time period stated on your sales receipt. You must have your sales receipt, original carton with all packing, accessories and manuals, with no physical damage to the product. If the same model is no longer available, you will receive a product of comparable performance, not to exceed the original purchase price.

How long will my electronics repair take?

Every effort is made to make the necessary repairs in the shortest possible time. In fact, the average repair time is 6-7 days for most products. Please note: this is an average. Your repair may take shorter or longer depending on part availability and other factors. Products sent to manufactuers' service centers for repair will take longer.

How long will my appliance repair take?

P.C. Richard & Son appliance technicians stock nearly 500 parts on each truck resulting in a “first time” completed repair over 75% of the time. Should parts need to be ordered, they are done so from the home using the very latest in mobile communication technology. This reduces the time needed to order and receive the part. You will be notified as soon as the part arrives by phone, email and/or text (if provided).

Does P.C. Richard & Son guarantee the repair?

Yes. Parts and labor for your repair are guaranteed for 90 days from date of repair.

Where can I bring my electronic equipment for repair?

For your convenience, you may carry in your product to any of our showrooms in Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan Bronx, Yonkers, Connecticut, Pennsylvania & New Jersey. For a quick diagnosis or repair of your product, bring it directly to either of our Repair Centers, which are located at 200 Price Parkway, Farmingdale, L.I., NY 11735, or 8 Germak Drive, Carteret, NJ 07008.
