This is not as sturdy and reliable as my stove from the 1930s was. Turning the burner up to lower the heat is counterintuitive, and one has to go against the instructions and turn it down to get a really low flame. The ignition for the two most used burners stopped working almost immediately so I have to light them manually. But it fits in the space.

Does this have an electronic ignition requiring electricity and dies it come in black?
Yes, The gas range must be installed with all electrical connections in accordance with state
and local codes. A standard electrical supply (115 V AC only, 60 Hz), properly grounded in
accordance with the National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances is required.
