AMAZING!
I have owned this camera for almost a year, and it has done an amazing job! It works very well, and I have been able to capture moments in time! I also Discovered that if you put the camera into the "Miniature" effect, and then take a video, it creates a time-lapse! This is a really great camera, and I love it so much!

Finally able to go into the foot hills and take some photos. I was quite impressed with the simplicity of this camera. And the quality of this compares with my Canon Rebel T7 . The size makes it quite useful as a grab and shoot camera instead of breaking out the larger camera.

A great everyday camera that takes great pictures.
For everyday general point-n-shoot quality photos, this Canon ELPH 180 is a great choice. It is built well, and has more than enough controls to produce quality pictures, or you can just set to Auto, and Canon has it all covered for you in every shot. I highly recommend this camera, unless you want to spend a lot more for a more professional camera, though most pictures will still look similar enough to save the money and buy this one. It is small and compact and easy to take with you everyday and use. It has a date/time code if you want on each picture which a smartphone picture can’t do. That in itself is worth having.

Great for the Price
Bought this for work, where I travel a lot. It has proven to be pretty durable, and takes decent photos. Keep in mind, you will not be getting a professional camera at this price point.

Great Camera for Small Price
This is the best point and shoot camera for the price. It has a wonderful image quality. I also like that the battery is the same as in my previous ELPH that lasted for many years. I can continue using my old batteries as you can't have enough spares when you travel.

Great photos and great value
I don't understand all the negative reviews. For the price this is the best point & shoot camera I have owned. I also don't understand all the reviews complaining about the quality of the photos. I also own a (much more expensive) Canon Rebel T3i DSLR and, when I take photos of the same subject with both cameras and zoom in, I can't see any difference, except slight differences in the colors and brightness. My last ELPH lasted 10 years before the zoom mechanism failed, so it didn't owe me anything. Makes me wonder if some of these reviews were posted by competitors.

When Register Product
Tried to register: PowerShot ELPH 180 (as printed on Canon Label - RIGHT End of box/product container) - during registration - form asked for Serial Nu which I entered OFF the label: 1093C001 - then hit SUBMIT - came back in RED NOTE - The serial number you have entered is invalid for one or more of the following reasons:
1) The serial number does not match the product you have selected (FCC ID which starts with “AZD” is often mistaken for serial number.)
2) The serial number entered indicates this product was not intended for sale in the United States and is ineligible for registration and support in the U.S.
I assure you: that is the number on the label on the RIGHT END of the product box!!!

Great value
The reviews surprised me, features people were looking for ARE on the camera, the well written manual explains this. The camera takes nice picture indoors without a flash and nice pictures with the flash on. It's quick to focus, handles outdoor contrast very nicely and the color is very natural. I think this is a great little camera.

Good cheap camera.
This is a good value for a low price. 8X zoom is nice, AF is good, Low noise on above ISO200, compact. Lack of cable doesn't bother me as I remove sd card to copy photos. Thus, a solid Canon camera.

Good Camera
The last Cannon I had, it was of lesser dollar value and I got everything I needed to upload pictures onto my PC, but this camera was a bit disappointing that it cost more and still need to spend more to upload pictures onto the PC. I to was disappointed that it was not made clear that a USB does not come with the camera. I will think before buying my next camera. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants good pictures and wants to spend a whole lot of money to buy the camera and then have to buy additions to upload your pictures

Versatile, fits in pocket
I used it for snapshots over the holidays, & found it could do most things, outdoors and in. Does not need flash inside. Still working on how to get to sport setting for stopping action.

Great coverage
I think the camera is great and it’s prices. When I got it for the first time I was so happy. It had such great coverage and it was great at vidieotaping. Later today I was filming something spectacular and I accsedentaly presed auto and it stopped working. So if you have sloppy fingers like me don’t buy it other wise it’s worth your money.

Not a bad starting our camera.
I bought this camera a year ago and I bought it because it was a relatively cheap camera for a school trip. After I got back, I started to get interested into photography and started using this for photography. This camera isn't bad but this camera needs quite a bit of light to produce decent photos. Thankfully I can set the brightness in the settings. Also the light bounces off shiny objects so it might be great to take photos on a cloudy day. All and all, not a bad starting camera.

Very Good Choice on Compact Camera.
I already had an older Powershot camera that was dropped and stopped working. The mode knob it had on top was eliminated and substituted by the Auto button. On 90 % of the cases you will only want to turn off flash or choose picture size. But auto mode can be changed to P and manually settings enteted. Yes. It can be manually configured. Some complain of focus problems. But I'm sure they are trying to shoot a zoom photo too close. The macro mode enters automatically but only with lens fully retracted. One awkward thing is that the older similar battery and charger from cannon do not match the pins! Why do the companies do that? It comes only with wrist strap battery and wall charger. No usb cable. It does not charge on usb only on charger.

Overall, great!
I received this camera as a gift for my birthday and I am very satisfied with it overall. The pictures turn out clear and it is very easy to use. I am a little sad that the user doesn't have the option of changing the "shot" settings and it is only done automatically. Also, the fact that it doesn't include an USB cable and SD card is a little disappointing. Otherwise, it is a very basic and simple camera, perfect for missionaries!

Sometimes It Fails When You Need It...
Ok cam for work but fails when needed.... some pic(s) come out blurry but you can't see a clear picture of the photo taken on the display as it is too small. The photo just looks like a normal photo until you get it blown-up on a computer.

Great pictures, but...
I bought this camera when in a hurry and needed it for an upcoming trip. The camera includes a strap in the package but there is no way to attach the strap! There is an area where a hole appears to be the place to attach it, but there is no hole at all. I need to have a strap to wrap it around my wrist when carrying it.

It's alright...
I just needed a camera that I can take with me to an upcoming school trip so I bought the cheapest one I could find and well...
Of course, cheap stuff isn't very great. The quality isn't crisp. It's "noisy" (if that's the word) like what an iPod or the camera of an older device produces, maybe worse, sadly. Sometimes it's really hard to focus as well, for me especially since my hands are quite shaky at times.
However, I kinda do like the "staticky" effect the camera makes, it might add some sort of aesthetic, early-2000s feel to the image??? I guess you just have to be creative and try to make use of what the camera offers to be satisfied.
The camera isn't great, but it's not TOO bad either. I do recommend it if you want to save money, want to be a hobbyist, or are a nostalgia-freak like me or whatever, but it's not really good enough to be used for professional photography or to take high-class, 69 million dollar shots of famous people.

More like a 1.5 Star
This makes me miss my Sony camera even more now or in retrospect I should have put money into repairing that camera versus buying this one. Not too keen on cameras that wash everything out like this does. Also where are these photo editing features that I can do like monochrome or fish eye????? NOWHERE on my camera do I have photo editing/filter capabilities. That’s one of the reasons why I decided to purchase this camera AND I DONT EVEN HAVE THE FEATURE ON IT....smh. I would consult the manual but the manual is uselsss as well since all it basically tells you is how to turn it on. So disappointed. Only pro I would say is the convenient size-portable so great for point n click.

It's okay..?
I got this camera from my parents, and I do admit that it would be good for a beginner, but, while I was taking my first photography class a year or two ago I realized that this camera is not the best for taking better zoomed/focused photos. I would recommend this if you aren't serious about taking super sharp and focused photos..
