Great refrigerator

The ice is in the freezer which leaves plenty of room up in the fridge for our food without it getting frozen in places near the ice maker. This fits perfectly where we put it and works great!

Glass Shelves Breaking
We bought a house and the previous owners had just purchased this refrigerator. It is less than 3 years old. We have had two of the glass shelves shatter. The first one that shattered had one carton of eggs on it. The next one that shattered had a few small cartons of yogurt on it. I was cleaning up in the kitchen and heard a loud noise from the fridge. I thought it was the ice maker and when I went to investigate, I opened the fridge to find another shelf shattered. We are very disappointed in this fridge and are down to two shelves left.

Since no retailers stock this refrigerator, were you happy with your purchase buying it without seeing it in person? Do you have any problems finding authorized repair people if and when you need it?
I had a broken ice maker arm, probably a $3 part, and they are sending me an entire new refrigerator, no install, no new warranty and when I called the repair shop they “dispatched” they told me they don’t fix Sharp products because they don’t pay them.

Do you have to push the doors shut? Our Kenmore Elite closed much more easily. I sometimes find the doors not completely closed. I guess I’ll have to get use to pushing harder and making certain that the doors are tightly closed.
