Viking 30" Free Standing Gas Range - Stainless Steel
Take your kitchen to the next level with Viking Professional 5 Series gas range with the VSH Pro Sealed Burner System. This system provides a new level of performance and clean-ability thanks to its combination of unique patents. Each burner has a VariSimmer setting that provides an excellent simmer at precise temperatures. The porcelainized cooking surface is durable and has raised edges to contain spills and keep them easy to clean. The SureSpark Ignition System will automatically re-ignite in the event of a burner extinguishing. The Gourmet-Glo Gas Infrared Broiler provides intense heat to sear meats and fish while still locking in all the juices. The ProFlow Convection Baffle system will circulate heat to bake goods evenly, to make perfectly lofty breads and cakes.

What a difference! Love this range, it's heavy duty and looks great in the kitchen. Just a small thing, but the only thing I would love to have a timer on this unit.

A great range, but……
I have always wanted an high end stove and I finally bought this 30” Viking because it is the only space I had in my two room apartment’s kitchen. Using this Viking it is like driving a BMW X5 after you have driven an Honda Civic so you have to make adjustments to your cooking attitude like one would do with his/her driving. The stove’s insulation assures that it never gets hot and after baking there is a blower that kick in and cool the inside of the oven. All together this range presents a feeling of solidity. The reason for the four stars instead of five is that there is a problem with the thermostat that seems to shut the oven off or lower the temp when the food is still in and that’s a major issue. It doesn’t happen all the times but often enough to cause my distrust but service is on the way; sponge cakes that should cook in 55 minutes at 325 degrees took almost two hours, the batter became over raised and the bottom of such loaves undercooked doesn’t matter what. My wife baked an appetizer with no problem but right afterwards she placed a Cottage Pie in the oven and after half an hour it was barely warm. She turned the oven off and on again and all was good. When it works is for me, a cooking freak and sometimes professional cook a different experience in cooking but when it acts up it is a pain in the butt.

Unresolved Viking Range Issue
We purchased a viking range from PC Richard which was delivered to us on November 18, 2023. The oven did not work so we immediately contacted PC Richard and they suggested we contact a viking appliance service which we did do. The service gentleman came out about 2 weeks later and serviced the stove but did not fix the problem. I reached out to PC Richard once again and asked for an exchange on the range for a viking range that was in good working order but they said that decision was up to viking. I then contacted viking and they told me that decision was up to PC Richard. We had the appliance service back again, he changed several oven parts and also put a new electrical board in but once again the oven still did not work and the oven light was no longer working. Currently we are awaiting our 3rd appliance service visit, in the meantime we have spent a large amount of money to purchase the range and we have not had the use of the oven in almost 3 months, furthermore we dont quite understand why a brand new purchase would need all new parts that dont work anyway.
