Always Something New To Try
Gave Echo a try on a whim and it turned out to be great. There is plenty to learn and try out. The versatility of the device is astonishing. (For some reason, I'm always asking for a weather forecast!)

Love echo's!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this newest generation of echo for about a month. I have several of the older generation Echoes within my home as well as Echo dots and Echo shows. I even have an echo Studio and I guess you could say that we love echos around this house! The product works amazingly! The unit works very well! The speaker quality is amazing!!! It picks up our voices easily and at least 95% of the time from across the room. My only complaint, and it's a small one, it's the big round shape. I know that that's to imitate a piece of art or to be any more visually appealing but for us we just prefer the smaller version. It is much less obtrusive in our decor and it's easy to tuck in behind other things where this machine is not. Other than that one very small detail we love this one as much as we loved all the others!

Multi-Functional with Great Speaker Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to receive our new Amazon Echo. I am very hands on with taking care of my parents and who knew a small device like an Echo would us so much with our daily routine!?
The Amazon Echo (4th Gen) was very easy to set up. Once plugged in, you simply download the Amazon Alexa App and follow the prompts. Make sure you keep the Echo nearby when syncing and setting up. Once we followed all setup instructions, it was ready to go! We tested it with many different commands and enjoyed many laughs during the process.
My mother recently had a fall and couldn't get to her phone to call anyone. I was able to sync my mothers phone to the Echo so that all her contacts would be available to call on command. She can now tell Alexa to call me (or anyone else in her phone contacts), hands free. As long as she's in hearing range of Alexa, she will be able to make a call. I plan to install one in every room in the house because of this reason. Not only does it give me peace of mind that she can call without having her phone in hand, we can set reminders to take her pills at specific times during the day, add items to her calendar and set a reminder hours prior to her appointment to start getting dressed and ready, add items to her grocery list, and so much more! We also enjoy playing music and even trivia games during my visits. It's great being able to ask Alexa a question and get an answer immediately. She a wonderful Assistant and I wouldn't want to go a day without her now!

Amazon echo works great and blends in nicely!

Excellent sound!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an Echo enthusiast. I have various Echo models in every room of my house. I love them and I use the Alexa virtual assistant dozens of times daily. I was very excited to try out this new 4th gen model. It was super easy to set up. The sound is excellent - music is full and clear, no distortion, and it has a good amount of bass. Alexa responds immediately to me saying her name and has no trouble hearing me. I was not a huge fan of the spherical shape at first, but it has grown on me. We are working on making our home a full smart home. We have numerous smart plugs, smart bulbs, smart appliances, et cetera, and so far all of them have worked with this Echo and all of our Echoes. We use our Echoes to set reminders, find out the weather, find out what time restaurants and stores in our area are closing, make hands-free phone calls, and so many other things daily. These little devices have become invaluable to us. I do very highly recommend this 4th generation model.

Great sound quality and functionality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this Amazon Echo 4th Gen for a month now and am really enjoying it. The one thing that just really stands out is the sound quality. I'd swear I was listening to a speaker that was even quadruple the price or more, and those wouldn't even come with all the functionality. We listen to music all of the time on it. And as I mentioned, the functionality is great. We use it for alarms, timers, shopping lists, weather, and even to turn out the lights using a smart plug. We have our favorite radio stations set up and it's as simple as asking Alexa to start playing them. No turning the dial. We're like the smart plug functionality so much as well, that we're thinking of getting a bunch more plugs and getting more whole house functionality out of it. We even accidentally dropped it one time, from about 4 feet, and it didn't have any damage at all. So it seems to be made to take a little bit of a beating. And set-up was super simple using the app. So I can recommend this version of the Echo for sure, and we'll probably be getting more of them to get that great sound (and functionality) all throughout the house.

Best Sounding Home Assistant!

I had the first generation Echo since it came out and one of the biggest things I wanted them to improve was the sound of the speaker when playing music. Well, that has now been fixed and better than just fixed. This speaker sounds amazing. It produces clear highs and nice clean bass even at loud volumes.
I use this speaker as my main music speaker for the main living area of my home. It fills the room with full sound and great bass for the size of the speaker. It doesn't matter where I place it in the room, it always sounds great. It's assistant works fantastic and I didn't have any issues connecting to all of my existing smart home products. It does not have any issues hearing me or other members of the household and I like the colors of the lighting at the bottom of the speaker.
The new form factor fits well with my home decor and most guests don't even know that it is there until I activate it.
The new Echo is a great addition to my smart home and I will be picking up a couple more for other areas of the house.

My New Favorite Home Assistant and Speaker!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got a new 4th Gen Amazon Echo and was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually liked it. I've tried out just about every smart home assistant / speaker out there in the last few years with mixed results. We have several Dots in our house as well, and although we like them, they were never something incredible in my mind. When we decided to try out the new Echo, my expectations weren't all that high. Luckily, after a quick setup, the Echo far exceeded those expectations. Setup was a breeze with the Alexa app. After a quick sync to our wireless internet, I was off and running. Syncing apps for music and other stuff was so easy. I quickly had my calendars added as well. The Echo is a decent size and has some weight to it, but looks great in my opinion. My favorite feature of all though, it sounds great! We love having music playing throughout our house, and this Echo makes that simple while providing great sound quality. Highly recommend!

Fantastic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are so many great features with echo 4 compared to the other models, first would be the design round about the size of a grapefruit. It looks great on the counter modern type design compared to the older Echos, sound is unbelievably great, music is very clear bass sounds great.
The weight is perfect not lightweight so it does not slide easily around. Setup was very easy, it does come with a temperature sensor which is a great option if you have a fan or other device that runs on Alexa you can set up a routine to turn that device on when the temperature get to a certain temp.
The blue light ring at bottom of base is nice compared to the ring on top of the older Echos, seems to pick up voice better. Really happy with the sound design and extra options. Will be picking up another

Easy & convenient for a busy family
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Amazon 4th generation is super easy to use and really convenient with our busy lives with a few little ones running around.
All you need to do is take it out of the box, plug it into an outlet, and follow the instructions in the Alexa app which is required.
Once you’ve connected it to your Wi-Fi you have access to the Alexa personal assistant, a mamas dream. With Alexa you can do everything from control compatible smart home devices, make a list, set reminders to asking it questions about the weather. I was able to play music directly from the speaker just by asking Alexa and the assistant was also helpful with controlling playback. And there are also buttons built into the top of the speaker for playback.
I totally recommend turning on “Follow-up Mode” in device settings so that you don’t need to repeat the wake word after you’ve asked the speaker a question. So after you’ve asked Alexa a question it will answer and then automatically listen to for a few seconds to see if you have a follow up question, because saying Alexa each time can get a bit annoying.
We’re a house full of Alexas so it’s nice to be able to talk within the devices instead of yelling for the kids to come downstairs.
This 4th gen is larger and rounder than the previous generations we have but having a different look than the others is nice for aesthetics around the house.
We also received the Amazon smart plug. It’s rectangular, 3 prong and measures 1.5 x 3 x 2 inches, so you need to make sure you have enough space to plug this THEN your cord to your electronic.
Super easy to install, also within the Alexa App. It’s definitely convenient to be able to talk to turn our lights off with hands full of kids.
Overall, Alexa is helpful and easy to use. From one busy mama to another, snag it up.

Nice New Design

Sleek, modern design, great sound!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 4th Generation Amazon Echo is a great addition to any room! I love the modern design, it can fit on any table, counter or shelf. The cord is pretty long which is a nice bonus if your outlet isn't right by the device. The sounds is top notch! You definitely get a nice balanced mix of sound all over the room the device is in. There are so many things that Alexa can do now, including pairing your smart devices with Alexa. This past Christmas, we really enjoyed having our Christmas tree plugged into the smart plug so we just asked our Amazon Echo to turn our tree on for us. My kids really enjoy asking Alexa to tell them a joke or to play a silly song. You can even add a kids feature to your Amazon Echo to make it kid friendly which is definitely a bonus feature if you have children. You can make calls from your Echo or ask Alexa to order you things from Amazon. I love getting notifications from Alexa that I might be running low on something that I order regularly and she will ask me if I want her to order that item for me. Treat your self this new year to the 4th generation Amazon Echo or give it to someone as a present, either way, it's a win/win for you and the receiver of the gift!

So I have heard others on this particular one and I was excited to try it. Let me tell you it was not a bad choice. I really am enjoying to have it at home not only it is a speaker you can ask questions like what the weather is like and to call my husband. I love that it match my decor and it just take a little bit of space. The sound quality is great very static free and if I have it in the living room it can hear me from my room.You can also as to put in a product on your shopping list and it will do it. Echo delivers clear highs, dynamic mids, and deep bass for rich, detailed sound that automatically adapts to any room. It was also easy to start setting it up as well.

It is not too big and doesn't take up a lot of space but still produces great sound from the speaker. Setting and syncing is super easy. The microphone easily picks up our voices even over some background noise and it is still easy to see the light of the ring even though it is on the bottom. The one thing that I wish was that that cord was longer.
The Echo not only adds convenience for the adults in the household but is entertaining for the kids and grandkids as well. They like to play games, ask questions, tell jokes, and listen to stories. It's so easy to get the weather report, access the grocery list, listen to music and podcasts, or set reminders. The options are endless, including connecting the echo with a smart plug to use voice control for any outlet in the house.

Must have!! Absolutely love it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You must download the Alexa app, must have an existing account or make a new one. Then set it up and use WiFi. After the setup, you can play music. You can have your own grocery list, playlist and much more for lists. You can have Shopify, pandora and many more for listening to music but you have to connect to your account. It’s a very advance piece of technology. I love using it for music, and my lists that I have. Very easy to use, all you have to say is “Alexa” then whatever you want to do. Alexa is my favorite of all, I definitely need one in my bathrooms and kitchen. The do come in handy. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for one!!!

Instantly the answer is rolling of her digital tongue. Even better... Listening to my favorite songs that no one else likes and you will never hear on the radio... Alexa has got my back. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to getting this Amazon Echo 4th generation, we had the Echo Dot. The Echo’s sound quality is top-notch and it is also very sleek, albeit larger. It is quite easy and fast to set up. It detected my other Fire-sticks rather quickly. We also connected our Ring Alarm, Nest Thermostat, our smart bulbs and an Amazon Smart Plug we just got. So now we only have the Alexa app to control these devices instead of several apps! Aside from the ability to play crisp sounding music, there is so much more that this Echo can do such as schedule alarms, set timers, play games. The smart plug was easy to sync with the Echo on the Alexa app and you can name it whatever you wish. We used it to connect our Christmas Tree, fireplace lights and the train set under the tree. All we need to do it say “Alexa, turn on Christmas Tree” and all these turn on! It simplifies turning on/off these lights. I want to get more of these smart outlets to use with our window candle lights. So instead of turning on all 10 lights individually, all I would need to do is say “Alexa, turn window lights on.” This is a game changer since we light our candle lights year-round. Additionally, to manually control these lights or set a schedule from the Alexa app, when we are away, adds a level of security plus it’s nice to come home to a lit house. The only cons which I noted were Alexa’s inconsistent response to commands. Sometimes Alexa responds immediately and other times I need to repeat “Alexa” a few times with a loud voice for the command to be followed. Also, the white power cord is not aesthetic as our Echo is black. Otherwise, this device is a must have not only for a quality speaker but to control a variety of smart devices which many households may have. We use it through each day. My wife says “Alexa” feels like a family member and amazes us when she recognizes our voices!

Awesome for Music, Info, and Voice Commands
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to give Alexa a try with the Amazon Echo.
The Echo was easy to set up. A few basic instructions, and we were off and running! We use it primarily to listen to music and ask about weather. We've played games on it a couple of times and really liked "Escape the Room." We've disabled purchases on ours so we don't have any mishaps (especially with the kiddo), but we may explore that more in the future. We also use it to keep up with our shopping list.
One of the best things about our Echo is that I was able to set it up with a smart plug to our TV. The setup was simple, and now we can turn our TV on and off with a voice command. This is especially convenient because we don't have a remote for the TV itself, so we were having to turn it on manually before. The Echo is connected to our Firestick too, so we can navigate that by voice command now.
The main drawback for us is that my husband and I cannot both connect our Amazon accounts to the Echo. We've tried everything. Because of a technicality, we have to wait six months before we can be in the same Amazon Household, so only one of us can be associated with our Echo. We even tried using Guest Connect, but Alexa is telling us this device does not support Guest Connect. Maybe in six months we'll be able to set it up so we can both use it fully.
We also noticed the Echo is rather large compared to our previous smart speaker. We thought this might be due to superior sound quality. Although I have no complaints about the sound quality, I wouldn't say it's better.
Overall, we're impressed with Alexa and our Echo. It's a convenient way to listen to music, get info, connect with other home devices, and stay organized. I would give five stars if it weren't for the issues with connecting two adults and the large size. I would still recommend this to a friend, but would make sure those aren't dealbreakers for them!

Good Quality

I personally like to use it with the smart plug . This way I can attach it to other devices such as my lights and my coffee machine. Another useful attribute Is that it is compatible with my Ring device.The sound is more powerful than the original and it has many more attributes. I am excited to spend endless hours relaxing And exploring cool features on my new Echo.

Who the heck thought this up ?
The big round 'ball' is hard to grasp with One hand. The plug blocks the outlet. and the light at the bottom is harder to see. So, you have to use two hands and compromise the outlet. Why not what worked before, the cylinder with the light at the top and put the "transformer" inside the unit and have the cord retractable. A simple solution. compact,ergonomic, and functional . maybe even a handle !
