We wanted something small to be able to stream our movies without having to plug in our laptop or bulky gaming consoles. It worked great! The set up was super quick and worked like a charm with our separate speaker. I like that it has Bluetooth capabilities so we have the option to use our separate speaker. It was designed very small which makes it very portable and we can take it with us to use on non smart TVs. Very easy to use, it has a lot of streaming services to download and all our favorites are on there.

We found an amazing use for this Fire TV Stick!!!

Huge improvement over the 1st gen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned a 1st Gen Fire Stick for years and have always loved its features. It has access to every app available and runs them flawlessly. I had no idea on how much speed I was missing out on until I got this 3rd Gen stick. Every button push and every command is immediate. I couldn't go back to the old one now that I've used this. It's lightning fast in every action. It's compatible with Alexa so you can control it with voice commands and the app. It's programmable so it can switch to specific programs and apps based on command so you don't have to worry about missing shows. It's list of capabilities is so long that I'll probably never use them all but I think it's biggest strength is its speed and lack of delay in all its features. It's completely plug and play so no setup skills are needed.

Near limitless potential

Everything you'd need is included in the box and setup/installation takes just a few minutes, whether it's for the first time or for when setting up wifi access at a hotel or house/apt rental. There are a ton of different apps available and, if needed, plenty of options to customize the experience with android APKs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, this Firestick impressed me! So many new features and improvements over previous generations.
First, setup is a breeze! It really is a plug and play setup. Everything you need is included, including the batteries for the remote! Just plug in the hdmi end to your tv (make sure you pay attention to what port/input you are using as this is where you’ll watch the Fire Stick), then plug in the power source and it will go through what language, let you input your WiFi info, and do any necessary updates. Mine did have an update upon setup but it’s pretty fast depending on your connection. With mine, it automatically detected my tv so I can also use the remote to adjust volume, etc. I love this feature and always hated having to remember tv codes to program remotes or having to manually scan for codes! This makes this setup the smoothest and fastest possible!
I love that the fire stick allows me to have our entertainment at my fingertips, with only one device. We are a streaming family and stream from Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc. I can also access my channels through Prime such as Discovery + all in one place. It essentially turns any tv into a smart tv. You can access the weather, your photo gallery (if uploaded), Facebook, browser, etc.
For families, you can setup users and customize the home page. Another great feature, especially in today’s world, allows you to setup parental control so you can limit each profile specific to the user.
I’ve been using my Fire Stick daily since it’s arrival and I am still discovering new features! I love the interface and ease of setup. Highly recommend.

Love the voice remote feature

Once you get it set up you can get a ton of apps and channels for free. There are channels you have to pay for, that’s up to you. I love Alexa, I can ask her to search for movies or tv shows and she finds them or makes a recommendation. This is the way to go with you television viewing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Amazon fire TV stick (3rd gen) is amazing! After plugging the device into the tv and power source the setup was fast and I had no issues. If you have several subscription services this is a perfect way to streamline them all into one device. One of the features that I believe is most useful is the Alexa voice remote control, this features saves so much time when trying to find a movie or tv show. I also added an app from my cable service provider which allows me to watch live tv from the fire stick rather than switching TV inputs between fire stick and cable. There is no lag or connection issue when streaming, everything opens and loads quickly.I am so pleased with this device!
