Well, still working on WiFi access
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The app is very simplified. No issues setting it! Installment, super easy! A couple screws and that’s it! Charging, appears to be a little tedious unless you have the additional charging cable. If your camera/light is posted high, you’ll need to take it down each time. Unless, it’s posted near a window and can run the cord to it easily in that manner. My issue is the 2G connectivity. I have 5G and I guess no G. So, according to the directions & my attempts, it won’t work on either. So, it appears I have to purchase Smarthub. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on this picture quality until I purchase the Hub. I do, however, I one small concern. It appears nothing would prevent a stranger from removing the the actual light/camera from its base, if it’s posted low. It’s only a push button release for removal.

Bright floodlight!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great security system to have. The floodlight is really bright and the brightness is adjustable. Set up was really easy. Download the app and the app walks you through the whole process. Installing the floodlight was easy. 3 screws and it was up. You will need to purchase a cable for the floodlight that will keep the floodlight and camera charged at all times. The cable will be a long cable that attached to the bottom of the light and then you plug it into a receptacle. The app has a ton of customizable features for the security system and the floodlight. The video quality of the recorded videos is really good. We have ours set to record motion. So when if records motion it will zoom in on the motion. It comes with a 3 month subscription to store your video recordings.

Easy peasy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing and setting up this Arlo floodlight camera was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I just downloaded the app and it walked me through every single step. The directions were easy to understand and my camera was ready to go in no time at all. The features are great. There is a talk button, which is nice to have if I get an alert while I'm away from home and need to say something to whomever is at my residence. There is also an alarm that you can activate if you need to, plus it will even contact 911 for you if you want. I love that it has the built in floodlight, it can be very bright, but can also be adjusted down to a lower level which I feel is still plenty bright enough for me. The image on screen is crystal clear and the camera will zoom in on the motion that it detects giving you a close up look at who or what it detects. Everything with this camera is set up to be user friendly. You can customize the settings to your desired preference, alerts, alarm, 911, sensitivity, light, etc. This is a must have for me as there have been tons of stollen cars, break-ins and stollen packages in my area lately. The Arlo floodlight camera is my first security camera and I couldn't be happier. In fact I plan on getting a few more so I can cover more area around my home.

Great quality!

I was surprised by how bright the flood light is and how great the quality of the picture is. The night vision is very good compared to our old one you can see alot of detail we used to not be able to.

Bright light and great video quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Floodlight camera is fantastic! The spot light is very bright and the quality of the video that it produces is clear and easy to see all the small details. Installation was quite simple, a few screws and viola, the housing is attached to the house. The rechargeable flood light snaps in tight, push it in and listen for the click and you are all set. The app allows you to determine what areas you would like to be alerted about, which is great so you aren't getting alerts everytime someone drives by. The spot light only comes on in the dark and only when there is motion detected within the alert parameter. The only con that I have found is that while my husband and I both have the ability to watch the videos at the same time, only one of us can view it live at a time. Not a deal breaker by any means.
There is also a free trial of the company's cloud services, holding your videos in storage. This is convenient but truly not necessary, there is a slot for a micro sd card to hold recordings as well, so if you are not looking for the extra monthly expense, there is a way around.

Awesome Camera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this camera the picture is very clear so you can see everything it has a wide view aka you can put it in one spot and see a lot around that area. The flood light comes on when there is movement so it lights up the area or you can turn that feature of if you so t want it. It is very easy to use and I love being able to watch what is going on at my home when I am not there.

It Zooms in and Out on whatever comes in front of it! It tells You if it's a Animal,Vehicle , or Person ! We installed on the Eve of Our Garage and it picks up Our Whole Property! The Sound is Crystal Clear . We can hear ourselves Talking about 50 ft away! This is a Great Product and I have already taken down My Old Cameras and bought Two More!

Great!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok guys I'm giving you the most honest review I know how since my internet has been crazy and I'v had to have them come to my house twice since my camera has been delivered.. first off if you have cameras on every corner of your house like we do you run into problems you never imagine. Just trying to help the ones who have every square inch of their house covered like I do.. the infrared on all my cameras mess with each other.. and it took days to get them just right. I wanted the bright light with a camera for my driveway.. that already has two different angle cameras on it.. now when the light comes on it completely messed up the other two. It is so bright it's just a white screen inside on the tv... So we moved cameras twice already trying to get everything lined up. Don't get me wrong I love the light. It lights everything up so now we have it where we want it and we are working around it. That's how good the light is.. my internet has been awful. No fault of my own and they have been here twice to try to figure out why I have nothing. No wifi.. no tv.. so I can't hook up the camera yet. Il update when this company can get to me. We live in a very rural area and they are just now running fiber optics and it's just a few miles from me. But so far I am in love with this.. I highly recommend if you need or want a really bright light with a camera. Trust me when I say you will be able to see details, tag number, color, anything you would need in case of theft. I would love to have another on the back of my house!!!

Top Notch Quality

Crisp sound and video

I walked around my premise to figure out where to mount this and finally decided to mount on my shed. The wireless connectivity strength is strong, even though I mounted this on my shed. The app is easy to use. You are able to check the camera status, turn on/off the light, turn on/off the device using the app. The light is as strong as the hard wired flood lights. I recommend this for a camera and floodlight.

Great floodlight camera

Nice video output, strong and stable Wi-Fi connect. The zoom quality is amazing, the floodlight is very bright and motion sensors are great. The only con is that you will need to charge the battery at least once every other week, if not more. But overall works well.

Simple interface, super bright light
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old front porch light just wasn't bright enough and I was also looking for something with a camera feature. The Arlo Pro 3 is battery powered so it was simple to install. Make sure you have clearance of at least 1/4" around the bracket, otherwise the housing won't click on. I don't know if I'll keep the subscription but it's only a few dollars a month so it's not a big deal. The app is easy to use and the set-up process was very clearly laid out. Note: if you don't want to deal with an app, this is not the light/camera for you... the app is required for functionality. 4 stars because it's a little oversized and not discrete and I don't like to be required to use an app and/or subscription.

Bright!

Great picture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband installed this really quick, since no wiring. It has a rechargeable battery. The battery life after a full charge is about 4 days. The picture quality is excellent. The light itself is pretty bright and lights up the driveway pretty well. Hubby is going to find and easier way to charge so he does not have to climb ladder every few days when it needs charging. Overall it is a nice floodlight camera. Software seems to work good. Have not had any glitches as of yet using the phone app.

Awesome security flood light camera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this nicely packaged flood light security camera awhile ago and it is fabulous .The flood light on it is super bright so it illuminates even the darkest areas . The picture quality is beyond perfect you're able to see everything that's in the camera view. The siren on it is loud enough to detour anyone as well as get your neighbors attention and let them something isn't right. Picks up motion and let's you know if the motion is human or animal which I find very interesting. All in all this is the best security camera and flood light system I believe that is currently available on the market today . You definitely won't be disappointed and it's worth every penny.

hard time connecting to wifi
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has a hard time connecting to my wifi. I may need to move it closer (but that would mean putting somewhere I don't want it) so that I can do a better review but until then all I can say is that it was easy to put up. I'm thinking it needs to have the charging cord otherwise charging the batteries will be a pain due to placement. I mean they say it will last months but I haven't had it that long so I guess we'll see.

Usually Dead Battery; Subscription is NOT Good
I have Nest cameras plus Arlo Pro 3 floodlights. The Nest is much better in several respects.
The Nest cameras are "on" all the time - you can easily go live and "rewind" up to about a week to capture clips. The Arlo camera only records when it detects motion. So when you go to your My.Arlo account, you'll just see a bunch of still images that are links to the video files. Searching through all these files is MUCH more cumbersome that simply zipping through the Nest video to see the motion/noise notifications.
The Arlo video recordings won't playback in Chrome on a Mac. Yes, that's correct. If you're using a Mac and running Chrome, you can't simply click on the video file to watch it. This is absolutely absurd. To review recordings on a Mac, you need to download the file and watch it in a viewer such as QuickTime. That's reason enough to NOT buy the Arlo.
Arlo claims that you'll only need to recharge the battery every 6 months or annually or something like that. This is complete B.S.; I find that the battery is dead in days or a week or two at most. You''ll need to recharge the battery at least monthly, and you should probably plan to recharge every 2-3 weeks, if you want to be safe.
The ONLY advantage to the Arlo (over Nest) is that it has the floodlight built in. However, since batteries quickly discharge, what I mostly have at home is an Arlo camera+floodlight that doesn’t record nor does it “flood” the area with light. It just hangs there, uselessly, waiting to be recharged again and again and again…
If I had to do this all over, I would have purchased a couple more Nest cameras plus a plain ol’ motion-detecting floodlight. In fact, even though I’ve spent $500 for these Arlo camera/floodlights, I’m probably just going to abandon the Arlo B.S. altogether and do just that - add motion-detecting floodlights and 1-2 more Nest cameras.
