So far so GOOD.
The fridge is perfect for our needs. very quiet for the most part. I love the counter depth for many reasons including better fit in my small space and for the fact that I do not have to go digging for burred treasure to see the back of the shelves. The door beeps gently if it was not closed all the way/ Everything fits perfectly.

After a long search for a French-door refrigerator to fit our post-war Manhattan condo with irregular refrigerator location, the Avanti turned out to be a perfect match — it fits like it was custom-built for our space, with no modifications needed. The unit is whisper-quiet and performed flawlessly after the 6-hour standing period and 48-hour initial cooling system break-in.
P.C. Richard handled everything seamlessly — the COI was provided to building management right away and approved, and delivery was exceptional. The team arrived on time, removed the ancient unit, and delivered the new Avanti via elevator all in 8 minutes — courteous, professional, and careful, leaving zero damage or scratches.
Fantastic refrigerator and top-notch service from start to finish. I’ll definitely be ordering more appliances from P.C. Richard soon. 10 stars!

One limitation but a solid purchase
This was literally the ONLY fridge that would work in my apartment, given the dimensions. It's great in general. The shelves could be arranged better (a standard half-gallon carton on milk can only fit on the middle shelf, and not even perfectly) but it's still a joy to have a fridge that fits the space properly. It's energy-efficient, and the French-door layout makes it easier for everyone to find things.

I love the refrigerator. It is quiet and easy to access thru the top doors. The freezer drawer is spacious and keeps everything frozen solid with the customizable setting. The only reason i gave it a 4 stars is that the ice maker i ordered was difficult to install due to compressor lines not in the correct place.

No handles, difficult to open
Very nice refrigerator. Only complaint is that because there are no handles, the only way to open is on the very top of doors which is high and extremely awkward or at the bottom which is too low and awkward. Also we paid for an extended warrantee and still have not gotten the receipt or paperwork for it.

Very disappointed, avoid Avanti
Don't buy! After less than one month the fridge no longer works and cannot maintain the temperature the controls are set to. We've had to toss most of our food. The shelves on the side doors also fall out constantly. Terrible product.

Does not hit optimize temperature!
This fridge is terrible.
First, I set the fridge temperature to 32F, after a while it cooled, but from a feeling it didn't seem like it was cool enough. We bough a separate fridge thermometer and placed the thermometer in the fridge, after 24 hours, the fridge never hit the optimize temperature of 32F-40F. It around 41F or higher. This fridge also looses its cool quickly.
Second, we bought an extended warranty for this fridge, but per the PC Richard's technician, they do not service my area... if that's so, why are they selling extended warranty when they don't service within my area???
Would not recommend this fridge.

DO NOT BUY stopped working after 1 year and 4days
Our brand new Avanti fridge model FFFDS175L3S was purchased from PC Richard’s for $879.27 ($1006.30 with tax and hall-away) Avanti fon April 1, 2023 died exactly 1 year and 4 days from the date it arrived (delivered Saturday April 29, 2023 ) in our kitchen. This particular fridge and one other were the only ones that would fit in our fridge space, but the other option was a longtime trusted brand at $1600, so we went with the better price.
Before contacting Avanti read that they have a 1 YEAR FROM DATE OF PURCHASE warranty and not 1 year from delivery, this was significant, because May 2, 2024 was actually 1 year 1 month and 4 days from the date of purchased. If they actually had an ethical warranty start date from date of delivery, we would have only had complete failure 4 days past warranty.
I reached out to Avanti that night via email to explain the situation. Avanti was sympathetic to the date of failure, but they but they also informed me that the warranty is technically only valid for 1 year from the purchase date, not the delivery date, and sounds completely ridiculous that this is allowed, since the date of purchase and delivery to my knowledge are never the same day when having an appliance delivered, and in our case, we scheduled the delivery one month after purchase in order to prepare to receive the new fridge, so unknown to us, 30 days was already lost on the manufacturer warranty. How does it make any logical sense for a paying customer to buy an appliance on one day but might not even get it in their home until weeks or months from date of purchase depending on circumstances? Any chunk of the warranty is automatically lost during the time of purchase and delivery, but apparently many manufactures do this unethical but apparently legal practice. In the end, the local repair company Avanti sent to fix it, waisted our time ordering and installing an inverter (compressor related part) which failed to get the fridge working again.
At this point Avanti could only send us a new fridge for free, but to top things off, Avanti would only deliver a new fridge directly to our curb, but would not bring it into the house. We’d actually have to pay a company (around $300) to bring the fridge into the kitchen from the curb.
Since we were fed up with Avanti and refused to pay ANY additional money towards their replacement fridge, we just ended up ordering and donating the replacement fridge from Avanti and had it delivered to a nearby church who was able to have their own maintenance crew bring it into their school kitchen. After finalizing the shipping paperwork on May 31, 2024, the replacement fridge was not delivered to the church until Friday June 7, 2024. So in the end it would have taken a full month to get a replacement fridge from Avanti plus paying for curbside to kitchen. RIDICULOUS!!
Finally we just ended up buying $1600 fridge from the trusted brand, which happens to be the same brand of our 15 year old perfectly running dishwasher, stove and washing machines

Don't Buy: You cannot get replacement parts
I bought this product from PC Richard less than a year ago. One of the door bins fell out of the door and cracked in half. I have been trying to get a replacement part ever since - from PC Richards, from Avanti, and from the parts suppliers that they have both sloughed me off to - to no avail. Note that if you don;t have the door bins, you are losing a good part of the shelf space in the refrigerator.
