Avoid purchasing Bertazzoni gas ranges in the Northeast USA because (1) of the scarcity of technicians qualified to repair these ranges; and (2) the warranty administrators with which Bertazzoni contracts (a) regularly misplace records of proof-of-purchase, serial numbers etc. that consumers provide; (b) fail to maintain staff such that a consumer has to explain issues over and over again to different representatives; and (c) make consumer jump through hoops to get a range repaired.
I bought a gas range in Nov 2021 and it was installed October 2022 after construction was completed. Appliances need to be purchased early so that they are on-site what the contractor is ready to install.
Within two months of use, the broiler refused to say lit. To obtain a repair for a product under warranty, a form had to be filled out before being able to speak to a live person. After dealing with two different warranty administrators (PlusOne Solutions; and OnPoint Warranty); 5 visits from 3 different technicians; replacement of at least two broiler parts including a "thermocoupler" over several months; I tried to live with the inconsistently performing broiler.
Today, 15Oct2025, when the oven failed to ignite, the broiler failed to ignite, and the burners failed to stay lit, OnPoint Warranty informed me the warranty period had expired based upon the 2021 purchase date and provided a short list of repair services that I could call at my own expense, even though the problem was essentially the same as the original unresolved defect.
So much for Bertazzoni standing by its products! Looks pretty, performs not so well. I now wish I had bought the same Bosch range that I own in NYC which has given me not one ounce of agita in the 7 years I’ve owned it.
