EXCELLENT PRODUCT....BEST ON MARKET
We had this installed into our New Build.
We have had it for one year and use it often. It is Clean, Quiet and very effective. Based on what I have seen in others' homes, this is just the BEST QUALITYPRODUCT.
The Contractor who installed it said it was one of the highest quality he had seen.

Excellant Product, Easy, and Convenient.
For my application (island with 6" vent tube through slab) this Cattura Downdraft vent was perfect. Installation was very straight forward and easy. The Vent performs exceptionally well even though I have a 6" vent tube instead of the recommended 8". The 4 level fan is great at extracting odors and steam. The work light is a great feature and used regularly. Overall GREAT product with whisper quiet operation. Thanks.

This Best Downdraft Ventilator exceeded my expectations with it's ease of operation, installation, efficiency, and quietness. Great product that I would recommend to anyone needing this type of installation usage.

Love it!
This was a perfect solution to our kitchen remodel as we had no vent in place previously. It eliminated expensive and messy construction for a ceiling vent and provides an open look into the dining room. It is sleek, quiet, and effective.

Best Downdraft System Ever!
This system works as advertised and more! The caveat is you MUST vent your system with the appropriate duct size, especially if you're stuck with a long run for venting to the outside. If you're unsure which size to use for your situation, call the Best Tech Reps or have your installer call. They're knowledgeable and helpful. Don't try to hook this up to your old 6" duct work or it will be like trying to suck a pineapple through a garden hose. You need volume to take advantage of the incredible performance of this system. I lived with an ineffective downdraft system for 25 years, opening up front and back doors to get cooking smells out of my house. Not anymore! This was expensive to buy/install, but I'd do it again without a moment's hesitation because it's the only downdraft system out there that really works as advertised.

Beautiful, Elegant and Efficient!
We replaced an old Best unit that had served it's time. Love the new height of this model. The controls are simple touch activated and are easy to see with the illumination. My overall favorite feature though may be the light, love having a light for morning or evening use. Overall a very good product and we are happy with the purchase. Only thing to note is we had to really change how the down vent exhaust exited, cutting into our cabinets base to accommodate the new position of the exit vent. Had hoped since buying the same brand it would have been easier to swap out. In the end it didn't really matter as it was professionally installed by local business in our area and they took care of everything.

Leave plenty of room between the downdraft and cooktop units.
The installation was a bit awkward, with the initial countertop cut depths proving insufficient to keep the front panel from slightly scraping the cooktop as it traveled up and down. The scraping was intermittent, as there's a bit of "play" in the unit front-to-back at various points as it becomes fully extended. After opening the cut an additional 1/16", the problem was alleviated.

Great product - could use more pre-sales info
I love how tall and quite it is. The big improvement Best could make is to provide critical installation instructions beforehand. You are supposed to use an 8" duct, but we have a 6" duct. It turns out that we have pipes and electrical that prohibited us from switching to 8". We also had to move the electrical and gas line to the stove during installation due to the size and configuration.
These are not flaws of the product, but rather flaws of the product documentation. It would be very easy to make requirements clear up front to properly set expectations. It would be very useful to have a pre-sales document that combines the requirements for the hood with the PF6 blower. Yes, you can choose other blowers, but the most challenging fit is when they are together.

Love my Cattura Downdraft
I absolutely love my new downdraft. Its quiet and powerful. Its look is clean and integrated nicely with my cook-top. I installed this myself and the installation took a lot of research and extensive pre-planing. The FLEX-Blower is an excellent option, since it allowed me to install the blower under the floor and greatly reduce the noise level. My only complaint is the cook-top activation button, is a really poor design. It has to be carefully installed, because it can be easily be damaged. Other than the switch, the downdraft is an excellent product.

Best Downdraft Ventilation a Good Fit for Gas Cooktop
When we switched out our electric stovetop for gas, I looked for a downdraft system that would ventilate out the cooking steam. The salesman recommended Best. I have been pleased with this downdraft performance. The high location of the ventilation ducts takes steam from whatever is cooking on my five burner stovetop and removes most of the odors out of the kitchen. I also like the notice provided when it is time to clean the filters. The lighting is an added bonus.

Love this vent!
Vent works extremely well, Installation required some diligence but was able to do it myself. Our installation is on an island with the blower below the floor. This makes for a very quiet system. Looks great with our Thermador cook top. Only issue was the lift mech. failed three months. Best sent the replacement part quickly and warranty covered the repair.

This downdraft is estetically beautiful and functionally wonderful
Installed this unit to replace a flush jenn-air downdraft. The extended height of the intake and power of the blower significant out perform what I had. The blower is quiet and all aspects of operation are responsive.

Excellent downdraft vent, except a few issues...
The vent is quite effective at removing smoke and odor, very easy on the eye, and the light is definitely a big big plus. I don't think any of the other vents at the time that we were buying this (Jan 2017) had a light. We evaluated the technology and decided that it was sufficiently different and more innovative than the other designs on the market (which are, for the most part, the same old idea) and ordered the vent. It was, however, a very difficult ordeal to get it installed, partially because the item was so new in the market at the time, and noone seemed to know exact specifications. Getting a downdraft vent is, actually is quite complicated process considering that everything has to fit with mm-cm tolerances, the opening in the granite, the cooktop, etc. so it is important that you find an installer that is highly, highly qualified. This vent allows a number of different options with respect to the installation of the ducting underneath; again, the skill of the installer in getting them neatly in place is key.
One practical issue for the past year has been the fact that it is very hard to remove the stainless steel cover to clean the unit, which needs to be done periodically. We were successful once, but since then have not been able to remove it! I think this would be an important design issue to correct in the next iterations of the design. Other than that the unit has been very effective; the unit has very good height allowing it to remove as much odor and smoke as possible, the technical design is innovative and indeed makes a difference, the light is very useful, etc. so we would definitely recommend the unit to others.
