Really nice iron
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never used a steam function on an iron before, truthfully I was always scared to burn whatever material to a crisp or something if i had to use steam!... BUT, this was a flawless first use of a steam iron, I had no real difficulty setting up, learning how to use it on different clothings, and so far I have had excellent results without putting in any major effort!

Makes Ironing Enjoyable!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never been much of an ironer (not sure of that is an actual word). Mostly, because I am inpatient and ironing takes so much time. Just the entire setup from waiting for the iron to warm up, setting up the ironing board felt very time consuming. However, after using the Vitessa Advanced Steam Cord Reel Iron, my entire perspective has changed.
There is a setting for all types of fabrics, which helps take the guess work out for me. Since it is summertime, I find myself needing to iron denim shorts that I have. They are "vintage" style, meaning they are cut off at the legs and after washing have strings/fringe at the bottom. Some of these shorts are supposed to fold at the bottom. After they are washed, the fold disappears. To get the fold back, I place my shorts on top of a towel on the kitchen table, plug in this iron which heats up quickly. The non stick plates allow me to iron the folds without affecting the fringe. The touch button retractable cord allows the iron to move with me as I iron with no resistance. The entire process literally takes less then 5 minutes. This iron actually has me excited ro iron other types of clothing!

It makes ironing a breeze because no matter what type of fabric you're ironing this iron does an efficient job. This iron also has a retractable cord which makes for easy storage. Great all around iron
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Black + Decker Vitessa Advanced Steam Cord Reel Iron provides all features you need from an iron. It has 6 settings and a cord reel for easy storage. Even Steam soleplate design along with TrueGlide nonstick technology for a smoother glide. There is a spray mist button and a burst of steam button for a little boost. Easy to maneuver and I really like the green color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had the Black and Decker Vitessa Advanced Steam Cord Reel Iron very long. But I really love some of the features it has already. It heats up super quick with many heat settings for different materials, steams without spitting and sputtering every where. The Non stick plate is Wonderful my old iron would stick to fabrics and I hated using it. Also the touch button retractable cord storage is a great feature. Thank you Black and Decker for another great appliance.

Powerful yet good for delicate fabric
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Vitessa Advanced Steam Iron worked extremely well on a Polyester dress that I had let the hem down on. I have had difficulty getting the original fold out of this dress previously but this Iron worked better than anything I have tried before. I also love the retractable cord and the fact that it is made for tap water so I don’t have to be sure to have distilled water on hand.

Great quality and irons well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I favored another brand of irons that were considered "high-end" for crafting, but their quality has gone downhill and I've wanted something that was a decent replacement. This iron is a good size, the form factor and ergonomics are very similar, complete with the large nose for pressing and robust steaming and heat. The cord reel is a little "snappy" but once you get used to it, it's easy to use as well.

Needed & super happy

The cord being contained in the iron is so nice. I don't have to bend a cord around my iron. I also found this lightweight and glides splendidly. I was able to iron my girlfriend's uniforms quickly and evenly. I will have to find other things to iron now!

AND NOW WHEN I TRY IT , THEY ALL SEEMS TO BE MUCH BETTER THAN BEFORE. MY WIFE ALWAYS WANT HER SHIRTS OR CHURCH CLOTHES TO BE IRON AND THIS IS MY BEST ONE SO FAR. Ironing simplified!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never thought anyone could make ironing easy and simple but Black and Decker's Vitessa has done just that! The Vitessa has turned ironing from a chore to a joy with its innovative features.
The even steam sole plate has to be my favorite feature. The sole plate has steam all the way to the tip making even those hard spots able to be steamed. The tip is nicely tapered so you can now get into those small areas of a garment where most standard irons can't reach.
The smart steam technology lets me control both the sole plate heat and the steam level. One dial controls it all so I don't have to wonder if I have the right setting for the amount of steam I want. I also like a nice burst of steam once in a while when I run into a tough wrinkle and the Vitessa has that and it is used in settings 4 - 6 on the SmartSteam dial. You can even steam vertically! Hanging anything on a shower curtain rod one way to do it but I have done my curtains right where they were hanging. It is perfect for curtains or anything that you had rather steam than iron or can't be ironed. With this feature, you don't need to buy a separate handheld steamer saving you money and time.
Black and Decker also included a spray mist button that gives a light spray of water to help get out that tough wrinkle. It is also great for a quick touch-up to a dry garment.
The Vitessa is one of the safest irons I've come across. It has auto shut-off in three different ways. It will automatically switch to auto shut-off when it is inactive for 30 seconds if it is lying flat or on its side keeping you from burning your garment. When it is about to shut off there is a red light in the handle that will blink, if you don't want it to shut off just give it a little move and your good. When it is resting on its heel the iron will shut off after 8 minutes. The Vitessa also has a retractable cord so no more trying to figure what to do with the cord when storing.
This iron is well balanced, easy to use, has safety in mind and made ironing more of a joy than a chore in my house!
