Exactly What a good product is supposed to do
The Bosch 500 series just does it's job, and does a fantastic job of it. Reliable enough that you don't have to think about it, and Smart enough to be helpful and innovative when you Want to think about it, I highly recommend this dishwasher!

Great dishwasher

I am happy so far with the purchase and want to recommend it to my friends and family. I like the ability to use the machine with an app instead of setting it up automatically with the touch buttons the machine looks clean and the design is beautiful and pleasant to the eyes.

Great Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement for the existing bosch dishwasher I had that lasted 13 years through several owners. It's a very nice 1:1 replacement for what I had with some additional features like the zone clean thing in the back and autoair. The utensil drawer saves a lot of space. I love how the door opens automatically to air dry - now I don't have to do it myself. I don't use any rinse aid and my dishes come out spotless every time.
For anyone wondering about the app...The app is actually pretty good - I don't really love the concept of appliances with apps but at least this one works well and doesnt make a ton of requests to the internet to random domains you've never heard of.
My wife doesnt use the app, I do. She's happy because she doesn't need to.

We replaced a builder grade dishwasher that did not get everything clean and did not dry everything, with a bosch. The new bosch is great. The three racks make it easy to load and unload. Very happy

Super Quiet & Easy Install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very happy with the dishwasher one month in. Low noise is one of our top requirement and this unit is whisper quiet! We were able to install it in an hour ourselves (we read the installation manuals when we made the purchase so we were aware of the accessories needed and had it ready).
Things we really liked:
1. Super quiet
2. Clean look
3. Easy to clean
4. Intuitive control panel
Good to know for others:
Our old unit had a metal frame that raised the unit by a few inches, so it had room under the unit. The new unit does not, which caused a small problem as we had the water line coming up in the middle of the floor, instead of the back. We figured it out, but wish I had known earlier)

Reall happy with new dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love our new 500 series Bosch dishwasher. The upper silverware drawer is such a great idea and the rest of the design makes it able to fit more dishes in so have to do fewer loads. The only thing I wish I'd known was about the salt dispenser for hard water. Had I ever heard of such a thing, I'd have gotten one of your models that has that as our water is really hard. Oh well, next time I'll know lol.
I'm getting Bosch from now on.

Excellent product
The style, technologyand quiet operation ofo this dishwasher is high quality. My wife likes simplicity of operatiion. She gets simplicity of operation. I like technologhy to enhance options and convieniece ,and I get that. Both of us agree that without the red llight indicatioon the machine is on ahd in a cycle, we would have a problem because it is very hard to hear it. That's a god thing.

Most Phenomenal Dishwasher Ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t realize how much time, effort, and daily frustration a dishwasher could save me...until I got this one. This is by far the best dishwasher I have ever had! I'll start with the exterior by saying that the anti-fingerprint, stainless steel finish is a dream come true! With my previous dishwasher, I had to clean the stainless steel finish every, single day. Now, my new Bosch dishwasher stays clean with minimal effort. I am not a fan of spending any of my time cleaning, so this is one of my favorite features! But where this dishwasher truly shines is in its performance.
For my first wash I skipped the pre-washing and loaded dishes with dried-on food and residue...something I never would have dared to do before. When the cycle was finished, I was honestly amazed. Every dish, glass, and utensil came out beautifully, completely, and perfectly clean! There wasn't any stuck-on food, no cloudy film, no water spots...just spotless results. It out-performs every other dishwasher I've had and leaves everything sparkly clean. And the top utensildrawer is genius! Easily one of my favorite features!
In the past, utensil baskets always turned into a jumbled mess. No matter how much I tried to keep them organized, everything ended up mixed together. Forks and spoons would nest in themselves, come out unclean, and unloading was always a tedious, time consuming chore. This Bosch design completely solves that problem! The top drawer lays everything out clearly and separately, which not only ensures a better clean but also makes unloading incredibly fast. I can grab all the forks at once, then the spoons, then the knives...it takes seconds! It’s such a simple concept, but it makes a noticeable, time saving difference, in my daily routine. What I love most is that this dishwasher doesn’t just clean dishes...it gives me back time and removes small, daily frustrations I didn’t even realize had become routine. From its smart design to its powerful cleaning performance, every detail makes such a difference in my dish washing routine. This isn’t just an appliance...it is a game changer in my everyday life.

Very Quiet Bosch Dishwasher

It Washes Dishes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Writing this review after two months of use for the Bosch 500 series, and so far everything is great. After having bought other, cheaper dishwashers from other brands, I've come to realize that it's a high bar to ask for a dishwasher to actually do what its name implies-- that is, to wash dishes. And the Bosch does. How delightfully refreshing.
Yes, the price tag is higher than other brands (and for that matter, the 100 or 300 series from Bosch itself). But as any middle-aged adult of the modern era has come to discover, you apparently have to pay a premium for an appliance to actually function. Personally speaking, I live in a rural area where it is difficult, if not impossible, to get repairs done, so it's important that I have a reliable machine. So far, so good.
Some basic notes on this model:
* Other reviews have commented on the design/ functionality of the interior racks, but for me it does the job. There is no ideal setup for the various dishes people use, so all told this one works just fine.
* The "Auto-Air" function is great: this is where the dishwasher automatically opens to finish the drying process. It appears to save a lot of energy that normally would be spent on a heating unit, and the dishes are plenty dry afterwards. Keep in mind that the 100 and 300 series (and the Costco version of the 500) do not have this feature, but it is well worth it.
* It is true that some functions of the dishwasher require you to use the app. The app is fairly intuitive, so that didn't create a problem for me. And, once you create some basic settings, you can simply start the dishwasher from the unit itself (although a delay wash does need the app).
* CONS: the delay wash requires you to use the app. It would have been great to include this on the unit itself, since the last thing I want to do after loading the dishwasher is to ask my phone if it's ok to do the dishes. But again, not a deal-breaker.
Overall, a great machine, and time will tell if it's as reliable as advertised.

Efficient and Quiet with Excellent Cleaning Power

We really enjoy the layout which allows for more items than the previous dishwasher we had. As many note, this unit is incredibly quiet. Without the red light on the floor, you would likely not know it is on. I also really appreciate the air drying feature. It does not dry fast, but if you wash overnight, the dishers and glasses are ready by the morning.
