Easy install
I'm not an electrician, but this was easy enough to install myself. The instructions were good and the design makes it easy to do if you're comfortable shutting off breakers, stripping wires and that kind of stuff.

Necessary and almost perfect junction box
My former DW connected directly to the power source. The Bosch does not have internal fittings to connect the same way but requires an AC outlet or this junction box. The Junction box connects to the power source and has the power cord to then connect to the DW. All well and good but for one thing. The only place for me to install the junction box was behind the DW. The DW is recessed on the bottom but the box is higher than the recess so if it is installed against the wall at the floor the DW will not fit all the way back into the opening. I had to carve out a piece of the floor to get the box low enough for the DW to fit into the opening. So lost a star because the box should be designed in such a way that it does not interfere with the overall installation

Not always necessary
I told the salesman that I needed to just plug the dishwasher into the wall and he still felt the need to sell this to me.
