So much bang in a little space
There is just so much this little speaker does, I won’t be able to say enough here. Super lightweight. Long lasting battery. Great blutooth capability and stereo availability when using two and the Bose Music App. There is Bass that comes out of these, but I have it paired with the Sub2 and it is phenomenal! Turning my Shure SM58 with the wireless Mic/Line Transmitter works perfectly and is a much cheaper option than buying a wireless mic system.

Great PA with a lot of sound in a little space
The Bose S1 Pro shines through on its purpose as a small PA that delivers beautiful sound. The sound: Well Rounded and earthy with substantial bass. I find this strays away from a traditional Bose speaker sound as it packs More bass than I’ve traditionally gotten from my bose products. I tried a few genres of music to test the range of the speaker under different equalization settings to get a good feel for it. I was blown away playing bass guitar heavy older hip hop songs (Tribe) and even more impressed with the clarity of the vocals coming through. There was no overlap or muffling out from the underlying bass to the voice. Then I turned into some pop and some country. In the Pop I felt like the speaker did not pick up intentional scratchiness from a record so I tailored the eq to suit more bluesy songs and there it was. With country this speaker is tremendous and delivers on rhythmic punchy guitar and vocals. I used the transmitter which was cleverly designed to connect once charged with the speaker and wow. This is where this PA shines. I only used my acoustic electric to test this out but it picked up on the tone of my bright punchy dreadnought. I messed around with more of a bluesy style of playing and some finger picking. This speaker subs in great as an amp and I really zoned in with the notes ringing super clearly and carrying some really nice sound. I am hugely impressed by the functionality of this PA. The design is really cool. It is plug and play out of the box. The update with the app might take a moment, but you can pair off right away. It takes literally 30 seconds to open and use it. You can rest it horizontally or vertically and what’s cool is the volume display pivots according to what side it’s on. I can’t wait to explore this more but on first impressions I am so happy with this durable great sounding speaker.
