Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for It is very quiet, i.e., not a pain to use, efficient, illuminates the cooking area well, and the timed shut-off is a wonderful feature to have, because you can keep eliminating contaminants for a while after cooking without worrying about turning the hood off. I did a lot of research to find a quiet and efficient hood and I found it in this model. A good hood will keep the air clean. A good hood that you use, that is. Since this one is quiet (the low level is a hum, the highest level lower than a hairdryer), you won’t mind using it. Use it when you use your stovetop AND oven, though. Keep all contaminants out!
