Eliminate Outside Venting
These charcoal filters eliminated the need for the outside vent ( now covered and sealed) on a newly installed Broan range hood, and work just as well.

First time with charcoal filters
My brown newton Rangewood is awesome! It looks sleek and clean. The fan is quiet compared to my other hood. I never got charcoal filters before though. The new ones we just bought fit great. I pan-fried. fish last Monday. All week when I subsequently turned on the fan, I re-smelled the fish. I guess that means the filter worked, but it may take a while for that fish smell to absorb? I am guessing that is true for all charcoal filters, so I may just cook this week’s fish out on my grill! Or maybe I’ll bake it? It is so great to have an entire range- hood system, whose parts work and fit.
