This is my third or fourth microwave since I lived in my house and I went for the more expensive GE café because a few months ago I bought the GE café induction oven which I’m very pleased with. The microwave is very solid with great features. Happy with my purchase.

Beautiful appliance line
We replaced all of our appliances with the new Cafe line. The range was our primary reason for the update but we researched several different appliance lines on the internet. We had some concern from other reviews that indicated the control dial option was an issue. We quickly found out it was not an issue. We greatly enjoy this feature along with the overall appearance.

New Handle Design
Owned previous Cafe and the handle was terrible and had to be replaced two times as the coating kept coming off. It was a microwave/convection oven. The new one just purchased has a totally redesigned handle and shouldn't have this problem. It's easy to use and has multiple features.

Buttons/features are easy to use & clear in usage
Recently purchased GE appliance Stove CES700P2MS1 and bought this Microwave VM521P2MS1. Microwave is perfect and has all the "bells and whistles". Popcorn no longer burns and can not what to use other cooking methods.

It has been many years since we had a new microwave. All the new features -- so much to learn. The biggest change is there is no keypad so your cooking time is in 15 second increments. Not a big deal but when you want just a few to soften some butter, etc. it's kind of a pain. All in all, I like the microwave. I'm still learning all the features.

Beautiful microwave. Love that it doesn't have any number buttons - super clean design. We turned the sound off and it's been wonderful not having the beeping in our house. Seems quite large in size inside.

Very quiet machine
We bought this to replace a GE microwave that was purchased to replace a 17 year old GE profile microwave. After having the ge model for 2-3 days we hated it. It was very loud and the light over stove was not as bright as our 17 year old model. So we upgraded and took a chance in the cafe which had good reviews from consumer reports. To say I love this microwave is an understatement. It is SO quiet, love the dial functionality and the led over stove light is very bright. It also feels more sturdy than the generic GE model. Not as plastic like. The handle of the cafe is solid and it looks really nice!

CVM521P2M6S1 OTR microwave
Well, it's only been 2 days but wow-it's beautiful and has many fancy features. So far so good.
There were a few smudges on the front door, but we were told to use windex with vinegar and the smudges are all gone.
