Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely fantastic I am from Australia, so I would consider myself a BBQ snob. This Char-Broil gave me a little taste of home. Its smokey flavour produced from the even distribution of coal makes any meal extra special.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality! My dad had one and I was so impressed that 42 years ago I bought one for us. I have had to rebuild the charcoal grate and the ash pan, but after 42 years a little work on it could be expected. This year I cleaned it all up and sprayed some high temp black on it and it looks like brand new. I don't think you could get better quality out of any other on the market, and I'm positive the others wouldn't last as long. I'm a Char-Broil fan for life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Cooker I love it, I have had for about 7 years and it cooks up some wonderful food for me and my family.I love the fact that it has the door on front and also the side tables

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its Great I have owned this grill for about 6 years now. I have had to replace the ash pan once and it is close to needing another. I am actually shopping around for a second grill and think I will just buy the same one again. Cook for 1 person or 10 with no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The grill has Awesome Features!!! I bought this grill a bit ago and it has got to be the best investment for my money for this type of grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice grill!!!! This the second Sante fe that have owned and I love it to death. I agree with an earlier review about the size being smaller. I wish they would come up with a better ash pan because they don't last that long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Sturdy Grill This Santa Fe grill is exactly what I expected from Charbroil; sturdy. The grill has a large cooking area and a large firebox, so you will use some charcoal. You will also have to light the grill a bit earlier than you would with a smaller model. The grill cooks great as long as you let the briquettes completely light. It would be helpful if Charbroil came out with an insert to contain the charcoal to one area in the firebox should you want cooler and hotter cooking zones. The large cooking area and firebox will allow this. Regardless, I will rig something. This grill is best suited for larger groups. If you are cooking for two people, find something else. Assembly was nothing more than bolting parts together, but could be difficult if you are wanting for good tools. The grill seems to be high quality and is heavy; hopefully it will last. This grill replaces a Charbroil smoker that I have owned and used heavily for over 10 years. I hope to get the same use out of this grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect grill I have had this grill for 8 years and never had any issues with any of the parts. When I have to replace I will select another Char-Broil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grill I have had this grill six months and still love it. It has a large grill for a big crowd. I love the smokey flavor it gives to the food. I am so glad I purchased this grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy , Heavy Duty holds up to the elements I am a long term customer owned last grill for 8 years exposed to the outdoors

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My favorite grill I love cooking and smoking on this grill. It is inexpensive but cooks in credibly well. I prefer outdoor cooking using charcoal. This grill can cook a lot of food. It allows me to put coals under the entire large cooking grid...or just a portion with a good safe zone or smoking area. The air flow and control is very good. I can do a 24 lb turkey on in, grill 24 burgers. or smoke salmon. It won't last forever, but the one I have is only my second one in 15 years and it sits outside. I think it is the best value for my budget. When this one wears out, I'll get another one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice features only problem is coal tray. needs to be made of stronger material so as not to warp after 3 uses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value This is the 2nd grill of this style I have owned. The last one lasted 23 years with my help. The newer model is slightly smaller than my 1st grill, but presents no problems. This grill does a wonderful job on turkeys up to about 14 pounds. Very important. If you want your grill to last, have sheet metal cut to fit the box and insert. I probably replaced the sheet metal every 4-5 years. One disappointment. The charcoal grate was replaced with an ash pan, which I doubt will last very long, so be sure to place a heavy gauge sheet metal under the pan. I was able to fit the charcoal grate from my old grill into this new model (tells you how good it was/is). I noticed that the cooking grate is slightly a smaller gauge, so I immediately order a second set as a backup. I still believe this is one of the better charcoal grills on the market with a price that offers great value. I was also able to assemble the grill myself with no assistance using a workbench to position the cover while I screwed in the hinges.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good grill This is my second Santa Fe Charcoal Grill. The first one lasted three years. It is well-designed. My one complaint is that the pan that holds the charcoal warps; this also happened to my first one, and I had to replace the pan due to warping and rusting. Otherwise, a superb product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality built-could be bigger I bought this grill to replace my older char-broil grill which I had for many years but was starting to show it's age. It was the same model I had currently. I was disappointed that it was smaller then the grill I already owned. The grill is top quality however and I love using it. Charcoal is the only way to go!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good features It meets my expectations in cooking and is easy to maintain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Grill It is a decent grill. It has a terrible seal, and some parts are a little cheap. It is the best charcoal pit I could find in this price range though.
Date published: 2014-06-10
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Compact and efficeint. I am happy with the grill and have been pleased with it every time i use it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought the Santa Fe some time ago, last summer I think. Assembly was a snap, only basic tools are required. I would not recommend this product as after assembly I fired it up and immediately ended up hearing popping and cracking sounds. I was hit with tiny, very hot pieces of paint that were coming off from around all the edges, and attachment points. Overall the Grill cooks wonderfully and assuming the paint issue was addressed at factory, then I would highly recommend the grill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Char I was totally disappointed with this grill!. The closest separation between the grates and the coal basket is 6+ inches. Unless you're willing to stack coals four or five deep, there is no way you can develop a char on anything. I had three 900 series Charbroil charcoal grills before this one. All were great. This one totally misses the mark. Low price, but cheaply constructed and poorly designed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I have owned 2 char broil grills, both have lasted between 8&10 years, great grills, I recently purchased a 615, I was very disappointed when I assembeld it. It is made out of a very thin gauge tin, half the thickness of my old grills. And it dose not hold heat well. You need to use twice the charcol.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I hated it the moment I opened the box because you sent it without instruction, and it had hundreds of pieces and screws.
