Total Morning Upgrade
My new De’Longhi La Specialista Opera has completely transformed my mornings — and frankly, it has put my old Gaggia Brera to absolute shame. I thought my fully automatic machine was the pinnacle of convenience… until the De’Longhi showed up and said, “Hold my espresso.”
This machine is unbelievably simple to use, yet it delivers barista-level results every single time. The espresso is rich and smooth, the cappuccinos are perfectly balanced with dreamy foam, and the Americanos are consistently delicious. It somehow manages to feel both sophisticated and effortless.
What really seals the deal is how easy it is to clean. No complicated rituals, no mysterious parts, no daily negotiations with the machine. Just great coffee and a quick cleanup. Compared to my Gaggia Brera, which now feels like yesterday’s technology, the Specialista Opera is in a completely different league.
Honestly, it’s become the best part of waking up each morning. If you want exceptional coffee, zero hassle, and a machine that makes you feel slightly smug about your life choices, this one is a total standout.

Excellent Espresso
This is our first espresso machine and we absolutely LOVE it! We knew we wanted some "creature comforts" like auto grind/tamp, while also being able to be more hands on if we want. While there is a learning curve, we have found the basic espresso and americano functions are very simple to master. I'm working on improving my latte art skills but that just comes with practice. We have not used the cold brew function yet, but I can only assume it'll be great. In the two months that we've had it, we have not used our traditional coffee maker once. We can't be happier with our purchase!

Love it
This is my first espresso machine and I made the right choice. The Opera has so many favorite settings, I use them all. My favorite settings are the cold brew and the coffee setting for my morning coffee. I couldn't be happier, what a great machine.

finally a good cup of coffee at home
I stayed at a house in England this past summer and they had one of these. So I made the wonderful decision of getting one "for my husband" for Christmas. We are both LOVING the fabulous tasting coffee it makes!

Best decision ever
This machine has leveled up my coffee drinking game so much. It’s so easy to use and comes with the built in tamper. No need to measure out, tamp and deal with the mess. It’s the perfect machine for people who are busy, and just want to enjoy the taste of their coffee beans without all the work that is required of other more manual espresso machines. coffee house level drinks, made SO easy!!

Great choice after a long research
I am a coffee drinker that likes it in all forms. I am one of those people who really does their research when I started looking for a espresso machine. I really liked what I read on the De'Longhi machines but it came down if I wanted a fully automatic or a manual espresso machine. The more I thought about it, I wanted a more "hands on machine". Right out of the box it was pretty straight forward with the instructions on setting up the machine. I have to say, just buy some local fresh whole coffee beans and try to make a few espressos. Trial and error I found is the best way. If there is any other extras I would get it would be a knock box and a scale. The scale will help to see how much you are actually grinding and can make adjustments. The knock box will keep things neat. Now all that being said, I am definitely a "newbie" in this venture but after about a week of using this machine it became very easy every morning to make wonderful drinks. Right now I have made routinely cappuccinos, cold brews and Americanos. All are outstanding and the money I have saved by not going to local coffee houses will pay for this espresso machine in no time So far this is a well bought investment that I will hopefully get years of incredibly made drinks, hot and cold brew.

Grounds for Celebration
I absolutely love my Delonghi Opera espresso machine. I use it multiple times a day, and it never disappoints. It’s very easy to operate; intuitive controls make it simple to go from beans to a perfect cup with minimal effort. The quality of the drinks is outstanding, whether I’m making a quick espresso, cappuccino, or latte.
The machine is consistent, reliable, and feels solidly built. I also appreciate that it doesn’t take a lot of fussing to get professional quality results at home. It has become a part of my daily routine, and I honestly don’t know how I lived without it.

Hit with the Family
My family and I have been really loving this machine. I like that you have options other than espresso and that all of the different brew options taste great. Only downside so far is the cold brew option takes a while to run. I don’t mind it and it is still faster and easier than doing it at home and less wasteful since we don’t have cold brew every day.

Easy to maintain
We use it for more than five years, every single day, at least 3-4 cups a day. Very easy to maintain. We had no problem with it yet. The instructions are very easy, in case you encounter small problems. It also makes nice milk foam to do the latte art.

Absolute WIN in my book! I love cold brew and espresso. This gives the option for both. I’m still trying to figure out bean ratio etc. I buy local beans from a local coffee shop and that’s life changing. The price tag is high but it exceeds all expectations and I would recommend it to everybody!
