Great battery
Who isn’t in need of batteries these days… I must say that Duracell has always been consistent with their products although much more costly than other brands, you get what you pay for, am I right. Sure you can save a ton of money and get a bulk product but how much time and money are you saving vs spending. Changing batteries is easy BUT is it good for the environment to constantly throw batteries in the trash because you saved money and got a million more. I say no! Also, who ever changes batteries timely? Well maybe you but I know it’s not me. This Duracell battery may cost more but it saves you more than you can imagine.

My niece took these pictures on her camera that had these batteries in and they have been in the camera since January and they are still going strong….amazing durability and fantastic value for money

Generational Household Must Have
I’ve never been let down my Duracell. My family has been using this brand for almost my whole life and they keep everything running longer that store brand versions. Packaging is easy to find and easy to remove. I can not stand when things are packaged in millions of layers and these have only the packaging that is actually needed.

Reliability when I need it the most
I use this in my scuba diving regulator for the durability and the reliability it gives me. The two pack was a great value for me because I always like to carry a spare. The power performance is superb and I know I can rely on Duracell.

Long life...
I use these batteries in my wireless sensors for my home alarm, they are very reasonably priced compared to what the alarm company charges per battery and last literally for years, I personally change them every two years as part of my house maintenance routine but they aren't dead when I do change them.

So, the person bought a "new" smoke detector with this battery in it and it didn't last very long. There is a LOT we don't know: (1) how old was this new smoke detector? The seller may have sold it cheaper because it had been sitting for a while. (2) was the house power ever off? in which case the battery would have taken over and drained. (3) Maybe there was a problem with the manufacturer or design of the smoke detector - we don't know (4) a high heat or humid environment [the detector is/should be ceiling mounted] can cause premature problems.
The smoke detector buyer really should have pinged on the smoke detector manufacturer because it was their "system" of which the battery is only a part. Having said all this, there is such a thing as probability - of manufacturing error. Could have been the batter, but could have also been a part (resistor, capacitor, IC, etc.) in the smoke detector. The battery is a comparatively simple construction so I'd really be looking at the smoke detector. Having said all this, there is also such a thing as consumer error. Given the write-up, I'd take this persons "battery review" with a grain of salt.

Plenty of power in a compact form.
I have some wireless light switches that i installed in my house. These are the batteries they take. At firat, i had some trouble finding them.
But that ended up being my fault. I was looking for a different battery size, and just kept confusing it with a different one. So I probably found these several times, and just honestly thought they were the wrong size. OOPS.
Great batteries. Kind of a niche usage, but when it comes down to it, they are the strongest and longest last game battery. I did get some cheaper versions, again Oops, and they didn't even last 2 months.
I have now hit 13 months and going with these.

These are great
I have a flash light that requires these type of batteries, as far as the longevity I give em a 7 out of 10, I use the flash light pretty often and have to change them out every couple of months

Battery Expired after 3 months in smoke Detector
Included with my "First Alert" smoke detector 2 pack were new, Duracell Ultra CR2 batteries sealed separate from the detectors. Expiration date on the batteries are March 2021. I installed the smoke detectors after inserting the batteries 3 months ago. One of my detectors started to chirp last night indicating a "Low Charge Battery". ??? Being a Safety Device for the home, seems like it should have lasted a few years being it is included in a detector designed by a well known brand. Being a special size they have us over a barrel, charging a high price and poor performance.
