Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good Transmitter I just bought this transmitter that is 16 years old for $3. What's cool about this model (DU7106) is that it transmits on ANY FM frequency! I opened it up and the antenna is simply a wire stuck to the back inside wall of the case so I drilled a small hole and I added wire. the 4" antenna is now a 24" antenna and I can now get a signal from my neighbors house across the street. The only concern I have is there is a plug on the side of the unit and it does not transmit or receive signal. Is it for external power? Does anyone know

Does anyone know what the jack on the side of the unit is for? I don't want to plug a power adapter to it and fry my unit. It does not transmit or receive signal so I'm guessing it's to power the unit indoors.
