Amazing vacuum
I bought this recently and immediately started using it. I cannot believe what I thought was clean before - this vacuum is picking up floor dust and dirt particles that I now know has never been picked up by my previous vacuum.

So far so good
Sig if isn’t improvement over our V10. Hopefully the case doesn’t crack and the battery doesn’t develop a dead cell like our V10 did. The green light on the hard floor head makes it fun to vacuum again.

This Vacuum Really Sucks!

Fantastic.
Wow this thing is amazing! This is my 3rd Dyson—I love them. The suction on this is very powerful and picks up the finest dust particles my last one didn’t seem to get. The house feels cleaner than ever before. Expensive but worth it.

Filtration and Sensor are the best
I’ve always wanted a Dyson vacuum and it hasn’t disappointed. I’m the proud owner of the V15Detect as well as the Gen5Detect- absolute game changers. The piezo particle sensor is the best idea since the fluffy optic roller. Love Dyson -my parents are now getting a Dyson gen5 outsize because they’ve used mine.

Handy but Powerful
This is a handy but powerful vacuum. It is amazing how well the detect light shows dirt on floor. I was also surprised by how much dirt this vacuum pulls out of the carpet! I love the display that shows what it is picking up. It is also great for cleaning the mattress on laundry day.

I love my new gen 5 detect. It is very powerful and does a great job. Only things I wish were different are 1. It doesn't have a trigger on off button and 2. It is a little heavier than I expected 3. The mounting bracket will not hold all the attachments without buy a separate piece.

Great Tool For Cleaning
Originally I bought the V15 and Gen5Detect as I didn't know which one I wanted. After trying both, for me it was an easy decision. The Gen5Detect you do not have to hold the trigger to vaccumn which is really nice. They all should have that feature. I did not even notice with weight difference in the two machines. The suction power of the Gen5Detect is awesome. The battery run time is fantastic. Then only thing I would improve upon is a bigger head for solid surface floors to make the job go quicker. I have ordered the head form the Gen5Outsize to put on the Gen5Detect which will work great I hope. So far very pleased with the machine

Game changer. Convenient, powerful and simple. The green light is apt to cause OCD cleaning, Loyal Dyson owner for years, Best vacuum cleaner for floors ever owned. Worried a bit about battery capacity, but so far , good.

WOW! I 'm shocked once again by Dyson. I was unsure if I should purchase the new Gen5detect. I had an older Dyson vacuum it was working fine. We have a Labrador retriever, they have vey strong, "pokey" hair. The new Gen5 picked EVERYTHING up!! Really strong suction. I would highly recommend

I have owned 4 different Dyson cordless vacuums and this one is by far the best!! I love the suction power it has and the “bumper” on the front is absolutely wonderful! It helps protect all the things I run into! I love the power button instead of the trigger. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase!

Illuminating!
I resisted the idea of the dirt illuminating light for a year. I thought it was a gimmick. Wow - I was wrong! It's the most helpful cleaning tool to come along in while. I'm thrilled with the overall performance of this unit!

Absolutely Amazing and Effective
This is a powerful and quiet vacuum that’s an amazing suction upgrade from our V10 Cyclone. On hardwood floors the green laser perfectly illuminates the surface yuck and dust. The power head handles carpet quite nicely.
It makes me want to keep cleaning, and underscores how much I need to.

Amazing!!!!
I purchased this vacuum cleaner about a month ago. This is my second Dyson. I was concerned that it was so much smaller and would not handle the same load. Plus, there are so many attachments, I thought it was trying to do much. I was pleasantly surprised. I really love how it categorizes what types of particles are being picked up. I have allergies and I’m grateful to know whether or not there are dust mites being picked up and where they gather the most. I’m very excited about this purchase.

Love this cordless vacuum
I love my new Dyson Gen5detect! I had a V8 for a number of years but this vacuum is much improved over that one. All of the accessories are so easy to use and the battery life is fantastic. I cannot believe how much this machine picks up and it’s so easy to empty the canister. It filters out lots of dust ant debris while doing all of this quietly. It’s a winner!
