Power and long lasting battery time per use.
I love Dyson Gen5detect absolute. It’s powerful and has a long lasting battery. I get up to an hour of usage. That’s twice the time of my precious stick vacuum.

Not your Mama's upright
I'm going from a 29 year old upright vacuum to the Dyson so yes I'm loving it. It's actually fun to vacuum. My daughter has an early model with a trigger. I like the button on this model...better with my arthritis. The dog doesn't attack it because it's so quiet. I might even get the grooming attachment! I was a little worried about not having a bag, but it's so easy and satisfying to empty it that I find I don't miss the bag at all. The way it lights up the dust with that one attachment is so cool. It's like playing a video game and sucking up all the tiny green monsters. The battery has way more endurance than I have. Playing on the floor with my grandson is such a better experience now. Thank you Dyson.

Would recommend.
Loving this vacuum. With a dog that sheds tons, the laser was quite the eye opener. We have light tile and I had no idea how dirty the floors were. It’s much easier to pull this out and do a quick pass on the daily.

Excellent Vacuum, Highly Recommended
I have had a Dyson V8 for many many years and still works great. I wanted a Gen5 and finally got one. It is worth it. I use it on both rugs and bare floors and am alway amazed at the amount it picks up even when the area looks clean. The vacuum is well balanced so it takes not effort to push it, even on my deep pile carpet. I have vacuumed most the house and never run out of battery power. Since I have allergies I am very glad for the HEPA filtration. I would recommend to anyone.

Great maneuverable cordless vacuum!
The Gen5 Detect works very well. It appears to pick up a lot of dust and fibers that were not being grabbed by our old upright Hoover. It has enough suction on carpets that my wife uses Eco mode to make it easier to push. The vacuum adjust slider on the front of the carpet tool is useful for adjusting to different carpet piles. The Eco mode also has the benefit of significantly extending the battery run time. The carpet tool is extremely maneuverable and the vacuum seems to be significantly quieter than our old upright. I did buy a 3rd party upright stand which holds the tools and mates with the Dyson docking station perfectly allowing a single compact storing/charging footprint. One disappointment - spare batteries do not appear to be readily available although use of the Eco mode negates the need to have a standby battery. We have not used the vacuum on our tile floors yet.

Love it!!!!
Love this Dyson. Have owned others before that I wasn’t happy with, but this one is great. Very strong does a great job on floors and carpets. I was amazed with my first time use on how much it pulled out of the carpet. Has a very large bin and a very long running capacity compared to most others. Able to do my entire home on one charge. Really impressed with its power.

Best Dyson Version To Date!
When I first learned there was no trigger, I thought oh this might be annoying, but quite the opposite. I actually like not having to keep a trigger pressed to vacuum. Very good idea…the suction is amazing and in the auto mode it changes seamlessly between rugs and tile quickly! Light weight long lasting battery allows me to vacuum 3,000 sq ft of living space.

I really love how well my carpets and floors are being cleaned by my Dyson. I thought at first it wouldn’t clean my area rugs, but found if I turned it to eco mode it worked just fine. I like how the attachments go off and on so easily. On my last vacuum, I gave up removing attachments because it was so difficult to do. I have not had a problem yet with the battery going dead before I was finished vacuuming. I don’t really think it is loud compared to other vacuums I have had. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Easily the top vac for power and suction, hands down will pick up more simply for that fact alone. ALSO its non illuminated beater bar creates a superior seal between it and the floor no matter the floor type, hardwood being best suited but not limited to. The green laser stuff is just to drive you insane basically, unless you wet mop everyday no vacum can pick up those micro fuzzies stuck to the floor, I’ve tried. But it sold me the best vacum I’ve ever had reguardless of me not using the laser head. Ive bought them all this one picks up the most across the board.

In love with the Green Light!
I hate doing housework. A month after my housekeeper injured her shoulder, I knew I needed to pull out my clunky canister vacuum. Friend suggested I purchase the Dyson Gen5drtect Absolute with its green light. Frankly, I thought it world be much ado about nothing. Was I ever wrong …I’m now vacuuming daily and am entertained by all the dust and dog hair the green light spotlights that I otherwise don’t see.

Magical vacuum!!
I love my vacuum! It’s fairly quiet (boost mode gets a little high pitched) the attachment with the green light is my FAVORITE!! I have actually taken my time vacuuming because when it finds more dirt the suction increases and as soon as it’s clean it goes back to normal. I have no need to look at what is being picked up, but the filter shows how big things are that you’re picking up. From dust to dirt and larger pieces. I also love that you can keep track of your battery life. It already lasts a long time on auto mode, but it’s super handy.

Love it!
I love it. I got the one for animals and I can see things on the floor I was never aware of!! My dog sneezes 0x a day now. He used to sneeze multiple times. I also am vacuuming almost every day now because it’s so easy. I hate cleaning but now it’s really fun. I love a clean house so much I also bought the bot.
