Great Stick Vacuum!
Love this vacuum! I have a had a few of these stick Dysons but this one is by far the best...also the most expensive but it is worth it! I like the screen that shows what I'm picking up too. Very cool.

Best purchase in a long time!
WOW!!! Awesome in every way - the suction is seriously unbelievable and it is so light with GREAT battery power! I waited to buy this because of the price, but with a golden retriever and a busy little boy, I decided to get it and it is worth every penny! Don’t delay even one second more - if you can do it, buy it today!! There is no dust swirling around because the filtration is so awesome!!
The day after we got it, my husband was taking out the compost and the bag failed. So eggshells and coffee grounds were everywhere! He said it took him about 3 min to clean up as our new Dyson took care of it all. Thank you Dyson for making such great products!!!

This is the best Dyson I have had so far.I love the floor attachment with the green light to see all the dust on my hardwood floor.The carpet attachment is also wonderful.

Amazing new Dyson does everything we’ve been Askin
Turning the tube into two different attachments is brilliant and I love the fact that you don’t have to hold a trigger while you’re vacuuming. It just stays on that’s awesome. Also the removable battery is also great because you can charge another one and if you run out of power then you just snap the second battery on. As far as the lit powerhead that shows you where the dirt is, it’s amazing. I thought I had my hardwood floors clean, but I did not until I got this. It is totally awesome.

Fabulous results.
I was hesitant about the purchase price, but Q’s demonstration convinced me to buy. It is amazing. I thought I see what was missed by old vacuum. Wow what a difference. Still learning when to use the many attachments. Wish there was a rack to keep them in one place. But that’s ok. wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Time Saved
I LOVE this vacuum. It saves me so much time with the wider vacuum head. Also, the stronger power saves time due to not having to go back & forth trying to pick up something. I do have another Dyson vacuum which I had truly enjoyed. Because of it, I decided to upgrade my experience. Because of the cost, it took a lot of consideration over time to decide to purchase the Gen5outsize. Especially since i already have a Dyson animal vacuum. Am so glad I purchased, as the difference in time saved is amazing.

Great performance, but time limited...
Great machine... my only complaint thus far is battery life, I've used my daughter's unit before and generally got about 60 minutes of time. Thus far, our new one seems to charge up to a max of about 40 minutes. Perhaps it will increase with time and use (?). In terms of performance, it does a better job on carpet than any prior vac (including other Dysons), and the optic unit for hard floors is scary good in highlighting dog hair and dust clusters.

We LOVE IT!
Unflipping believable !!! The green laser is genius and you can't wait to see where the next speck of dirt is hiding. The built in crevice tool is so handy. Our package had the extra battery which keeps us vacuuming longer.

The right model for households with multiple pets
We also own a V12 Detect Slim, but I was looking for more power, more run time, and a higher capacity canister. (We have four pets, and even vacuuming every two days, the V12 canister doesn't hold enough for me to get through our main floor without emptying at least once... and it's a race to finish before I run out of battery time.) The Gen5outsize has solved these problems. I will say, though, that it's significant heavier, and the large canister is clunky, making it difficult to use attachments. My advice: if you don't need the features of the Outsize, choose a slimmer, lighter model. If pets are your issue, this is the model for you.

I have to say I was one of those people. I never believed the hype, until I bought one. I have 5 XXL dogs, Irish Wolfhounds in case you were wondering. They shed enough to create another dog every single day, and track in so much dirt and debris from their forays in the yard. My home smells clean, it is no longer stinky dog smell, this Dyson gets everything down to the smallest particle. The battery life is phenomenal and I would be lost without the built in edge cleaner, saves me so much time going back and forth with changing out attachments. I love it!

Best Dyson we have had (and we have owned a few)
We purchased this as our older Dyson just didn't have some of the features we needed. Such as an outsize (larger) bin and built in tools. I must say that this is overall a great vacuum. The dual battery function means we can vacuum the entire house without stopping to charge. The outsize bin allows TOTAL vacuuming of main floor and gets all the dog hair trapped, without having to empty the bin.I must add that we have owned Dyson Vac's since the old big-ball corded ones, have had V-8, V-10 and V-11 cordless. This is the best Dyson we have had. The HEPA filter, onboard attachments and overall suction performance can not be beat.

best Dyson yet
This is my fourth Dyson and by far the best. It's heavy duty in every sense. Its the first Dyson that I feel really vacuums carpet well. The hard floor attachment is fantastic. The furniture hair screw attachment works so well, even gets the dog hair out of the car. I like that they got rid of the trigger - the button on the back is way better and easier to operate. The battery life is really good and I like seeing the filtration stats even tho they aren't necessary. This model is a bit heavy but thats the tradeoff for being heavy duty

Everything about this vacuum is premium! The battery life depends how dirty the room is. I love how it tells you about everything that it picks up. The attachments are nice. I use the pet hair attachment a lot.
