We love this vacuum, has a lot of power and enough battery to sweep what we need to sweep. Nice not having hair lock up the roller and the green light to see the dirt is amazing

Illuminating!
I resisted the idea of the dirt illuminating light for a year. I thought it was a gimmick. Wow - I was wrong! It's the most helpful cleaning tool to come along in while. I'm thrilled with the overall performance of this unit!

Very powerful suction, love the microfibers head for my hardwood floor upstairs, and it is the best thing going for the downstairs where I have metallic epoxy over concrete. It really cleans and shines it up. Amazing - looks like a polished gem stone when it is done It is a bit heavy for a cordless stick but still way better than a big corded vacuum any day. So far no issues with run time and can just under 3,000 sq ft on a single charge - I give out before it does.

Great for Older Ladies!
I just used my new Dyson for the first time. I love that it's cordless and I vacuumed all my carpet on one charge! It did a fabulous job! I found it to be just the right weight for a 71 year old women like myself! Thank you Dyson!

Everything shows
I just bought the vacuum cleaner last week and have been using it every day. I have three dogs and I did not realized how much they shed "every day"! It is amazing seeing even the smallest of dirt on the floor with the laser. Love it.

Absolutely Amazing and Effective
This is a powerful and quiet vacuum that’s an amazing suction upgrade from our V10 Cyclone. On hardwood floors the green laser perfectly illuminates the surface yuck and dust. The power head handles carpet quite nicely.
It makes me want to keep cleaning, and underscores how much I need to.

Amazing!!!!
I purchased this vacuum cleaner about a month ago. This is my second Dyson. I was concerned that it was so much smaller and would not handle the same load. Plus, there are so many attachments, I thought it was trying to do much. I was pleasantly surprised. I really love how it categorizes what types of particles are being picked up. I have allergies and I’m grateful to know whether or not there are dust mites being picked up and where they gather the most. I’m very excited about this purchase.

Love this cordless vacuum
I love my new Dyson Gen5detect! I had a V8 for a number of years but this vacuum is much improved over that one. All of the accessories are so easy to use and the battery life is fantastic. I cannot believe how much this machine picks up and it’s so easy to empty the canister. It filters out lots of dust ant debris while doing all of this quietly. It’s a winner!

Very Happy
I wanted to wait before I left a review and I am very happy with my very happy to report that I love my Dyson. I was worried that it would be too heavy for me as some of the reviews suggested but honestly for vacuuming it's not heavy at all and I don't have upper body strength and I have arthritis. I don't really use the handheld version so maybe that makes a difference. For most of my cleaning needs I am focus on the fur on the floor.

Great Vacuum
I have had this vacuum for 2 weeks and I am very pleased. I'm able to quickly "touch up" my house in 20 minutes, perhaps less. A little more than half of our house (total 2200 sqft) is carpeted. The vacuum is great on solid floors. It does a very good job on carpet, but for a deeper clean, I still use my Dyson upright. Another nice feature is removing the "stick" and using the vacuum as a "hand held" vacuum for dusting or racking tight spots.
I also purchased the stand and it is excellent. I particularly like the way it holds the accessories.

I bought this vacuum 2 weeks ago and was so excited to use it because I heard amazing reviews about it. It has amazing suction!!! Works so well all over my house. We have very thick carpet and it’s gets anything by from it.

Allergies gone, House clean
The suction is beyond any expectations I had. Before, I thought I had a clean house, now I know I do. It was expensive, but I use this every day, for allergies my whole family has. We are suffering less, health-wise. It was the right choice for us.

Greatest features!
This is the best vacuum I've ever owned, including two other Dyson vacuums. I love it. The battery length, digital read out of time left and what is being suctioned, the light weight, and the fact that it cleans my rugs and floors like no other vacuum ever has done. I have long haired cats that track litter dust and leave their hair everywhere, and finally this vacuum takes care of it all, filtration-wise, and the attachments are brilliant. The floor attachment is a revelation.
