Love it.
I bought this to replace my last Dyson purchased several years ago. This vacuum is amazing. I love how I can dust my hardwood floors, so much cleaner than with a Swiffer. My only “not even” negative is that it’s a little heavy, but am willing to build some muscles to get tha5 kind of power.

I like Dyson products!
I bought this recently. Have a 3 bedroom house with a lot of floor space. It is convenient and much lighter than my previous upright vacuum. Love not having a cord and the lighter weight (even though it is bigger and heavier than most cordless vacuums). This one feels a little heavy when you use the hand held version as it has a larger dust bin, which I prefer. I have 2 cats and it picks up hair well. Nothing has tangled around the beater bar. It comes with 2 batteries and each take 4.5 hours to charge. With amount of space I have, I have to change my routine and keep in mind charging time. It is best not to try to sweep the entire house at once; however, the cleaner the floors are to begin with, the longer the battery lasts. If you sweep regularly, it can be done all at once. Filter, dust bin, and hard floor attachment are all washable. It is versatile as it converts to hand-held for furniture and cars, is made for carpet and hard floors, has attachments for stairs, crevices, etc., and is very easy to empty. As with all Dysons, the suction is strong. It is also on the quiet side, especially when using the hard floor attachment! I recommend this vaccum.

Great features!
I have Multiple Sclerosis and besides the Dyson name, I needed a vacuum with a power on/off button opposed to a trigger. I've never owned a Dyson of my own, but my mom has had several. This is my first Dyson and I'm absolutely in love! The suction is powerful yet quiet, it keeps up with dirt/ dust/ particle count, has a countdown timer, and comes with 2 rechargeable batteries!..... plus the on/off button helps with my muscle cramps and spasms. I've been impressed with others', but having my own and being able to use it as much as a like, I'm blown away. I actually enjoy vacuuming now!

The Gen 5 is P O W E R F U L! Nothing has ever cleaned my hardwood floors this well! I'm leaning toward buying an additional Gen 5 machine, so I can have one for upstairs and one for the main floor. I would recommend buying an additional battery, though. Thank you, Dyson!

I’ve owned the smaller Dyson and they are great! Decided to go with the larger one and use the smaller one elsewhere. Definitely bigger as you don’t have to empty as often, lasts longer and the newest features are wonderful! I hope to keep this Dyson for a long time!

We’ve had the DysonGen5detect for about a month. By far the best vacuum we’ve ever had. Being cordless allows for easy maneuvering. The laser beam light makes it easy to see where dirt is. I never realized how much dust, sand and hair accumulates on our bare floors. I’ve become obsessed with vacuuming. It’s not only great on bare floors, but does a great job on our area carpets. I never realized how much dirt and hair was imbedded in those area rugs. The different attachments are easy to remove and attach. Although very pricey, it is well worth the money.

I’ve had my vacuum a few weeks and I could never go back to my old vacuum. I’m appalled at the filth that I must have been living in given the amount of particles that were picked up in one pass after vacuuming and mopping several days beforehand. I actually enjoy vacuuming now. It’s so easy and effective. No more messing with bags or difficult to empty canisters. The green light on the fluffy attachment shows exactly where I’ve been and where I need to go next. I honestly had so much dirt that I didn’t even know about.

It’s expensive, yes…. BUT do it . We have small kids & cleaning is an everyday (could be all day) thing. This vacuum makes cleaning fun. The filtration is top notch down to a single microbe. The battery life is very solid. Tried all attachments and have used dozens of times, no tangles to remove and no hiccups. The suction is incredible so don’t worry if you can only use eco mode on your rugs. Hard floor/ no issue. Cleaning & maintenance/easy access and nothing much to do. I take pride in this wand . This isn’t sponsored but honestly I’ve never imagined being as excited for a top notch vacuum as I was buying a next gen gaming console. DO IT. Do you want the best clean? Do you want to see what type of particles and grime you sucked up? Do you want the best ? No regrets right …. Get this. I went from low budget vacs to 1 Dyson that was okay (corded/bulky). THIS is a deal. Get it and I bet you’ll look forward to cleaning and realize it’s really parallel to the marketing ploys.
