Cordless Vacuum

Dyson V8 Cyclone

The most powerful V8 Dyson has ever made,°£ delivering 150 Air Watts of fade-free suction,10 up to 60 minutes of run time,* and whole-home filtration that captures 99.99% of microscopic particles.11

  • 150 Air Watts of Suction
  • Up to 60 Min Run Time
  • Swappable Battery
  • No Hair Tangles
  • 99.99% Particle Capture

Suction Power

30% more suction than the original Dyson V8.9

The upgraded digital motor pairs with Dyson's 15-cyclone Root Cyclone separation system to generate 150 Air Watts of consistent, fade-free suction.10 Suction stays powerful from start to finish -- no drop-off, no performance compromise -- so every pass picks up more on any floor type.

Close-up cutaway illustration of the Dyson V8 Cyclone technology, showing swirling airflow through multiple cyclone chambers surrounding a central blue filter core.

Engineered for whole-home performance.

  • 150 Air Watts of Fade-Free Suction

Dyson's most powerful V8 motor delivers 150 Air Watts of suction that stays consistent from the first room to the last, tested to ASTM F558 in Boost mode at the inlet.10

  • Up to 60 Minutes of Run Time

The advanced seven-cell lithium-ion battery delivers up to 60 minutes of uninterrupted, fade-free suction on a single charge in Eco mode handheld configuration.* Three power modes let you balance performance and battery life for every task.

  • Swappable Click-In Battery

When you need to clean beyond a single charge, simply swap in a spare click-in battery and keep going without interruption -- ideal for larger homes or back-to-back cleaning sessions.

  • Root Cyclone Filtration -- No Loss of Suction

15 precision-engineered cyclones continuously capture and separate dust and debris, preventing clogging and maintaining consistent suction throughout your clean.10

  • Captures 99.99% of Microscopic Particles

Fully sealed, whole-machine filtration traps particles as small as 0.3 microns -- including allergens, fine dust, and airborne debris -- inside the bin rather than releasing them back into your home.11

  • Triggerless Operation with Three Power Modes

Clean continuously without finger fatigue using triggerless operation, and switch between Eco, Auto, and Boost modes to match your suction level to the task at hand.

Cutaway view of the Dyson V8 Cyclone motorized floor head, revealing internal purple brush bar and motor mechanism, picking up dirt and debris from a dark floor surface.

Hair Removal

De-tangles pet hair and human hair as it cleans.

The Motorbar cleaner head uses Polycarbonate hair removal vanes to actively lift and spiral hair straight into the bin as you vacuum -- so it never wraps around the brush bar. Edge-to-edge motorized bristles deliver deep, consistent contact from wall to wall on every floor surface.

The included precision-engineered Crevice tool extends your reach up to seven inches into narrow spaces as small as half an inch wide -- perfect for baseboards, sofa cushions, car seats, and tight corners where messes like to hide.

Everything included, ready to use.

  • Motorbar Cleaner Head

Motorized edge-to-edge deep cleaning with integrated de-tangling technology that lifts and spirals hair into the bin -- no brush bar wrap, no stopping to cut hair free.

  • Crevice Tool

Reaches up to seven inches into narrow spaces as small as half an inch wide -- ideal for baseboards, between cushions, car interiors, and other tight or awkward spots.

  • Wall Dock

Wall-mounted charging dock that recharges your V8 Cyclone and keeps your vacuum and accessories stored neatly and ready for the next clean.

  • Charger

Official Dyson charger designed to safely and efficiently charge your V8 Cyclone battery, keeping it powered and ready between cleaning sessions.

  • °£ Dyson V8 Cyclone compared to all other Dyson V8 models.

  • * Applies in Eco mode in handheld configuration. Actual run time will vary based on power mode, floor type and/or attachments used.

  • 9 Compared to the original Dyson V8. Suction power tested to ASTM F558, in Boost mode at the inlet.

  • 10 Suction tested to ASTM F558, in Boost mode at the inlet.

  • 11 Tested to ASTM F1977 in Boost mode at SGS Laboratory USA in 2025. Filtration efficiency is calculated by comparing the number of standard dust particles absorbed by the vacuum cleaner to the number of standard dust particles discharged. Capture rate may vary depending on actual usage environment and cleaning mode.

  • 12 Suction tested to IEC 62885-4:2023 Sec. 5.11 and 5.12, in Boost mode at the inlet in SGS Laboratory USA in 2025.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Dyson V8 Cyclone is great Vacuum I use the Dyson V8 Cyclone to vacuum the public areas of a three story apartment building - including two staircases.. The Eco setting has plenty of power to clean both carpets and hardwood floors with enough battery life left to vacuum my apartment. It's very flexible and light, and really just a great vacuum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new vacuum! I love my Dyson cordless Cyclone vacuum! I love how lightweight it is and how easy it is to operate. The suction is absolutely great and it can get under tables…chairs & the sofa! The runtime is really good…I use it several times a day for the main parts of my home and charge it every couple of days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing cleaning Highly impressed by this vacuum. The minute I sat it on the floor it immediately began sucking up pet hair that I didn't even know was there. My floors have never felt so clean. Its portability makes it easy to use on the stairs as well. This is a very welcome product in my home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from V8 great suction power Bought V8 atmonth ago and the suction power is great on floors and wall-to-wall carpet. But too much suction power for thin (washable) rug pieces and deep pile throw rugs. Looking for an attachment that would be better suited for those types carpets. The V10 was great for thin rugs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from recommend The battery died on my old Dyson so I splurged and got a new one. It was about 8 yrs old. So glad I did. The new one is much more powerful and lasts longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought an EXTRA Dyson 8 vacuum! I bought this vacuum cleaner because my original one is 8 years old, and I want an "extra" Dyson in my house. I use it virtually every day! Was pleasantly surprised at the improvement of the Dyson 8 since I received mine as a gift years ago. Now it's easier to clear the bin, and not having to use your trigger finger to operate the machine is wonderful! (Good job, engineers!!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and well designed. I bought it just few weeks ago and I like it a lot because it is lightweight and easy to use and I truly appreciate that hair don’t get stuck like other vacuums. Cordless makes it easy to use to vacuum my car’s interior.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded Expectations We needed a new vacuum badly and had heard good things about the Dyson, we were still blown away our first time using it. It sucked up an astonishing amount from our rugs, it made a very visible difference. Easy to maneuver, pretty lightweight, seems to have a good battery life, no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome but NOT for hardwood Works great for carpet and linoleum. Not for hardwood floors. The wheels make a terrible sound on hardwood and it seems the hard bristles will scratch the floor. They make a soft bristle head you have to buy separately for hardwood floors and it's not a cheap part. Suction is great. It's very lightweight. Dock is easy to use. Emptying is so easy. Just pull up on the top and the bottom falls out. Unit doesn't stand upright on it's own though because all the weight is in the handle. Comes with a floor head, a wand and a crevice tool. Has 3 suction modes. I use it on the lowest setting and have no problems with suction. I do wish it saved my setting though because it powers on at medium always. The head swivels so it's very maneuverable. I have a clunky upright and this seems to work just as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vacuum!!! Great vacuum!!! I have been using my old corded Hoover upright for years and decided I need to upgrade. I love my Dyson V8. It is amazing! It is so light and has great suction and holds the charge for me to do my entire 2 bedroom apartment. Emptying the bin is a snap. It charges up very quickly. Thanks Dyson, for making a fantastic vacuum!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good V8 Stick Vacuum Previous V10 Dyson accessories all fit, hope battery lasts longer than 3 years in older V10 vac?On sale price.Only 1 carpet/rug accessory.V10 had numerous accessories.Carpet head hard to push on thick carpet but deep cleans including hair removal inside rotating head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use So easy to use and store. My son in law hung it for easy accessibility. Mainly use for wooden floors in my kitchen that always has crumbs and wooden foyer floor where dirt is tracked in. No more lugging out the heavy sweeper. Plus having no cord is sweet.
Date published: 2026-08-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Vacuum! This is our third Dyson Vacuum and the quality just keeps getting better. The dust capacity, filtration, maneuverability, runtime, and suction are all excellent. My favorite feature is not having to remove hair from the roller brush that impeccably stays clean after vacuuming several rooms with two strictly indoor cats. Dyson vacuums are supreme and well worth the investment!
Date published: 2026-08-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied. We are both very satisfied with our V8 cyclone. It is so easy to use in our small house on both wood and low pile rugs. My only unfulfilled wish - to use the Dyson attachment tools from our older upright. Maybe there is an available adapter?
Date published: 2026-08-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from You will be impressed I had the v8 animal for 6 years. Worked great so I decided to put that one in garage for cars then I bought This one and I have to say it’s quieter, lighter . I’m glad I got it.
Date published: 2026-08-18
