Word of Mouth is a Great Recommendation
I bought my Dyson after hearing my Mom rave about hers !
She bought hers primarily for the light weight, but I've found so many great features on mine aside from the weight.
Great suction on carpeted areas, and to me the biggest differences are the lack of a cord and the battery life.
I can go from room without looking back or worrying about having to unplug something, and can easily do my entire house on one charge. I would highly recommend Dyson !

Cleans Great!
Upgraded from the Dyson V8 and it is a great improvement. Especially like the head attachment with the green light to show dirt. And it does show you where the first is. Cleans well and has enough battery to do the whole house with some charge left.

A Great Machine!
The Dyson V12 is a beautifully-engineered machine that's lightweight and easy to use. I'm actually enjoying vacuuming my apartment because I don't have to pull out and plug in my heavy canister vacuum cleaner with its bulky, unwieldy hose. The Dyson V12 is definitely worth its price. I was also delighted with its packaging: absolutely no plastic or styrofoam--everything was protected by intricately folded cardboard pieces that were easy to flatten and recycle. I am truly impressed!

Best Vacuum I Have Ever Owned
Only have had it for a few weeks but I love it!. My arthritis makes it so hard to keep my rugs and floors clean. I’ve tried many brands but they did not help me. Welcome Dyson. Not only is it easy to use but it cleans better than any vacuum I have ever owned. It is worth every $ that it cost. Thank you Dyson for making a product like this that elder people who have arthritis can use and do such a great job in deeply cleaning my rugs and floors. I haven’t yet tried the other things I can use it for, like cleaning my car but I will soon. I am sure it will do a wonderful job too. By the way, I have two dogs that shed like crazy and Dyson does the job effortlessly ridding the hair.

Dyson has done it again! Great item!
I have used Dyson vacuums for years. After watching a demonstration of this one, I knew I had to have it. It has not disappointed! It has good suction and I like that you can enhance the suction with a ‘click’. Although I got used to always engaging the on switch on my old machine, having a specific on/off button is a plus. The tools are great and the one with ‘black light’ illumination really helps you get as much lint as possible. It’s also so easy to ‘break’ the machine down; add tools and clean your walls, furniture or any space. Finally, emptying the trash container on the machine is easily done with a click of the button.

This is my 1st Dyson & I absolutely love it!!! Best vacuum ever!!! My prior vacuume didn’t do a very good job & after using my Dyson was amazed how much it picked up!!! Can’t rave about it enough!!!!

It’s actually fun to vacuum now!
A month ago, I watched my 18 month old grandson holding onto the V12 and walking along with his mom as they vacuumed their home. I asked my son if they were happy with it and he said it didn’t a great job on their wood floors, tile, and even area rugs. Now, I have a very furry dog that sheds like crazy, was a bit worried about whether that V12 would do a good job on my own floors but I was willing to chance it because I was tired of lugging around the clumsy corded vacuum I had. I will say, with no reservation, that the V12 is the most wonderful vacuum I’ve ever had, mainly because it’s light enough for me to walk with while it does an excellent job picking up fur, dust, and regular household dirt! Would I like to have a Dyson with more suction power? Well, yes but…. that would make for one of the heavier vacuums that would be harder for me to use and to be honest, I don’t see how much better it could be because I’m having such excellent results with the V12. Some people say the small chamber fills quickly and must be emptied often while vacuuming, whereas the larger and heavier models have larger chambers. Honestly, it’s no big deal to empty the nice light, easy, well-performing V12. Everyone in my family laughs when I say,” Time for some fun, I’m going to vacuum now!” Funny thing is, my husband and I actually take turns sometimes because vacuuming is such an easy activity to accomplish, as opposed to some less pleasant housecleaning chores. No question: for regular vacuuming that you can do painlessly every day, buy this vacuum, the V12.

So convient.
This unit works better than I had expected. I was tired of lugging the heavy Hoover around the house. Now I can slip it off the recharge device and get busy. Even though the canister is small, it is no problem stopping and emptying it. I think the larger canister would just add to the bulkiness and weight. I really like this unit and would strongly recommend it.

Better than the other two cordless units
Finely sprang for the more expensive Dyson (have tried two other cordless) and am very happy. My other cordless purchases never lasted more than their warranty periods - I was happy with them while they worked - the Dyson feels much more durable and is doing a great job of cleaning. It's a wonder what all it's picking up.

Absolutely great purchase!
Love this little machine. I haven't used my regular vacuum since this one arrived -- it tackles all surfaces and that light illuminates an alarming amount of dog hair -- but it's easy to vacuum it up. The only -- and literally the only! -- complaint is that it is a struggle to remove the stick (that holds the vacuum head) from the dust bin, so each time that is annoying. As far as I can tell, I am doing it correctly but it doesn't come off easily. But EVERYTHING else, including the sustainable packaging, is absolutely great. I don't want to call it life-changing, but I will say it is life-style changing!

Easy to handle and does a great job.
Have been using for a month. Very pleased. Considered a stick vacuum a few years ago but found them too heavy (we are seniors). This vacuum is light and very easy to handle. And it does an excellent job.

Love it
Love it, I only have use of one hand and I like not have to deal with wires. It is not very heavy so that is also a plus. Still learning how to connect and dis connect the different parts but that will come with time.

So far the vacuum is awesome. The laser light shows me dirt I would never even see. The battery gives me pretty close to the 40 min advertised time. However it depends on what you are doing. Time to fully charge is pretty long

Light weight with great power.
wasn’t sure if I really liked it at first but the more I used it the more I loved it. It’s so light you can get into corners easily and it does a great job picking up pet hair. My favorite attachment is the furniture attachment.

Lighter weight than my DYSON 8 seems to have stronger suction. I like the feature of not having to hold in a power ON. Button. The laser head is awesome it allows me to do what it says the green laser light lets you SEE where the dirt is in any light conditions. Gets up more than other DYSON even. Have white porcelain tile all first floor and foyer including the kitchen actually do see the dust under laser light would miss before. Clip on tool carrier very convenient as they’re at ready when you need them no need to go searching or hand carry to each room. So you use more often for hard to each places. Bin is smaller but worth it. Torn rotator cuff and other orthopedic problems can still vacuum my whole house myself.

Perfect vacuum.
I bought this a month ago and love it. It’s lightweight and easy for me to carry up and down stairs. I have hardwoods and area rugs. With this vac I can do it all and even dust windowsills and baseboards. This will replace my bulky big Dyson vacuum which is too heavy for me to carry. If you are an older person this is a great vacuum. Just charge it up and go.

Great upgrade from my V8, which I still love.
Replaced my Dyson V8 with this model. Love it except for poor battery life quality.
The V12 has a lot more suction power, and I like the readouts showing power, remaining battery life, etc.
The self cleaning rug attachment works great, as does the bare floor attachment with laser. Battery allows cleaning our three level home on “Eco” setting without recharging; although smallish dust bin requires multiple dumping.
Overall, the V12 is a great, although expensive, vacuum. I really hope battery quality has improved since the V8 model.
