Extremely pleased with the vacuum but have a terrible time opening to empty what had been picked. Very easy to use and goes under furniture plieces with ease.

Love this Dyson wished I bought it years ago, have 2 big German Shepard dogs picking up the dog hair with this machine is absolutely amazing. Love the attachments also for small places and my car.it maneuvers all over the house with out an electric cord and the battery and filtration are great!

Arthritis pain triggered with old vacuum. Love the
71 years old with arthritis. Old canister vacuum heavy with corn, hose: too much. Love the Dyson. Light but effective: no cords or hoses. Used to dread vacuuming. Now looking for an excuse to get it out. Doesn't hurt my hands or my back.

Just what I needed
This is my first experience using a cordless stick vacuum and I really like it. I've read comparisons that show that this model may not have all the bells and whistles, however, for what I needed, it fits my needs perfectly. Storage, lightweight, good charge, accessories included...these are what I appreciate the most.

Versatile
I have owned my Dyson vacuum about a month and am very impressed with the quality. I picks up everything and is powerful. It beats my cannister type , hands down. It's easy to empty and clean. It has a great stand for charging with plenty of different heads for cleaning different surfaces. Battery power is good.

Great upgrade from a competitor’s version
My other stick vacuum (from a different brand) needed replacing after a series of malfunctions so I bit the bullet and purchased this Dyson. I got it on a sale and with some extra goodies as part of my purchase, and just the first day of using it proved that I was right to get it. My other vac was branded as a pet hair specialty vac but man, running this Dyson V8 Absolute over the same patch of carpet yielded so much more than I was expecting. My cat, Jack, sheds like he is paying the mortgage with his fur. It’s everywhere. The attachments allow for such versatility. I have carpet, vinyl flooring, tile, and flat and plush area rugs, and I get so much more up that I was wondering how I could have ever lived in all the dirt and dust. The filtration seems pretty great as I am getting dust and dirt I never saw in the old vac and it is pretty easy to move around.
One tiny thing I wish could be improved is that my old unit had a light in the head that really showed me the dirt and dust and I kinda miss that feature. But, this thing is just so much more powerful so it’s not been that much of an issue. Recommended if you’re looking for a good stick vacuum upgrade.

Great Choice
Bought this to replace a 30 year old Kirby that still worked but was too heavy and taking up too much room. New Dyson is much lighter, easier to use, especially changing the attachments and emptying the debris, and picks up much better than the Kirby.

Dyson is the best

Great Suction and Power
We’ve had this Dyson cordless vac for a month or so. It is excellent! So powerful compared to the previous versions. I have a large white Labrador retriever who sheds terribly. I use the vac at least twice a day trying to keep up with the hair. I’m grateful to have it.

It SUCKS, but that is a very good thing!
This Dyson V8 is my first Dyson product, and I have to say "It sucks!", but in a GREAT way. It picks up dog hair, dust bunnies, and who knows what else, but that is what it was designed to do. I will certainly be using this vacuum, and other Dyson products, whenever I can. It is highly maneuverable and is the first vacuum I've owned that was able to get all the way under my king-sized bed to clean the floor. I haven't had it long enough yet to judge the battery life, but what I've seen so far has been great. I also plan to purchase a couple extra attachments for those "special" spots that are not easy to reach or clean. Overall, I can't think of a single negative to my purchase, and hope to use this for years to come.

One was so good I bought another
we have had a V8 for 5 years -- it replaced a V6, we liked the v6 and the V8 is better. So we bought the new v8 as a spare-- we have a 2,000 square foot condo and it does well and has enough battery so that we never run out -- it is about 2/3 deep pile carpet and the rest hardwood and tile.

Terrific Suction for picking up pet hair, etc
We love our new Dyson. Even though it's an entry level one it works fantastic. Over the years we bought and bought one of the cheaper alternatives and our Dyson leaves it in the dust!!

Does a great job on my carpet which is why I bought it. Crevice tool comes in handy for zapping an insect off the ceiling. Easy to empty right into the trash can.

Worth the Money
A very quiet and efficient vacuum. The battery life is also good. The vacuum is fairly light weight making it easy to vacuum things up high and down low.

Love it!
I bought another dyson with the Memorial Day Sale. I rotated my older one to the basement, and the basement one to the garage for the cars. I've purchased several throughout the years and this one is by far the best! It works well (like all Dysons) and has lots of cool attachments. Love it.
