Easy and versatile
I have a Dyson vacuum cleaner that I purchased 17 years ago and its still running great, so I decided to roll the dice on this cordless vac since I have all hardwoods on the first floor. This versatile vac does not disappoint. For quick, tough jobs I can put on max power, and use it like a dust buster for my steps - goodbye to tripping over cords. For my carpet areas, I'm not getting the big vac out - just using the cordless now. My house stays clean because I don't dread getting out the big vacuum. It is a good investment.

I just bought my Dyson V8a week ago and I love it. It does a great job. It has excellent suction! The only thing I would change is instead of holding the on button the entire time you vacuum, turn it on and it stays on.

Great lightweight vacuum
Now that I've had this a couple weeks, I can tell you I am extremely pleased with this purchase. It is lightweight (I'm 70), has great pickup, super easy to work with (the information/"how to" videos are excellent), and it's does a great job with NO hair tangling. The battery life is not fantastic, but you do have some control by using the "on" trigger effectively. It is just enough battery for my condo.

2nd Time Around!
Love it!
When my cordless went down for the count I was heartbroken. I loved that thing. It lasted over 10 years! I admit I shopped around and looked at (and purchased) alternative less expensive brands, tried them out, etc...., but returned them all. This process took over two to three weeks and countless hours of my time that I'll never get back. It seemed all roads were leading back to another cordless Dyson.
Do yourself a favor, save some time and just buy the Dyson right away. Don't waste your time (Like I did) with the other less expensive brands. The cordless Dyson is a great product, I highly recommend it to anybody that cares about quality. You can feel confidant in your purchase, and the price.
I also have a traditional Dyson Ball upright for the deeper cleans, but could not live without the cordless. As a single guy, a quick, 5 min daily sweep helps to keep things manageable and from spiraling completely out of control, lol.

Ease and functionality are the best

Great vaccumm
I replaced my Dyson 6 with the 8. It is taking a little while to get to used to the 8 but I feel I will get to love it soon. It seems more powerful and the extra filter is great. I really love the motorized tool for cleaning my couch and chairs. It is a little heavier than the 6 but not by much. Would definitely recommend the 8.

Game Changer to a clean house...all the time!
I wanted a light weight, convenient, and powerful vacuum. This is it! Our home has tile floors and no pets so the regular speed is good for the majority of the house. The "max" position is perfect for our carpets. This Dyson remains charged the entire time it takes to vacuum the entire house. Because it is so light and convenient, I can use it daily in heavily trafficked areas.

I purchased this for my home to be used primarily on the first floor hardwood floors and linoleum floors. I found it to be so handy, I purchased a second one to be used on the second floor bedrooms and baths. I then purchased a third for the flooring in my basement. It is easy to use, efficient and easy to empty.

No regrets!!
Love my rechargeable Dyson! Debated on spending the money on another one as I have one chargeable and two uprights! But I needed a vacuum for our RV and ultimately decided it was better to get it since I know they last forever! My uprights are about 12&20 years old! The rechargeable dysons are so handy everywhere. I even use mine on my porch! No regrets!!
