Good Purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received my new vacuum a few days ago. I have not had a chance to put it to the test yet but will do so in a day or so. I look forward to using it for many years to come. This vacuum is quite different from my old one. I think it will be easier to switch from floor to carpet use.

A vacuum that works

Excellent vacuum with thoughtful features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this canister vacuum. It is so lightweight that my little kids are happy to use it. The body of the vacuum rolls along easily behind me as I move from room to room. The pull out/roll in power cord is very long and convenient. I love the light on the end of the vacuum for helping me see when cleaning under the couch and furniture. The multi tool is very well designed and tucks away so that you don't even know it's there. I love the auto-suction strength feature for switching from floor to carpet to furniture. It's handling all of our dog hair very well.

Great Vacuum!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I really like that this vacuum is not heavy or clunky but bigger than the smaller hand held ones for more cleaning space needs. It’s really easy to use and still easy to store. The design is cool and and love the auto sensor for different floor types.

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Electrolux Ultimate 800 canister vacuum is impressive. The suction is super strong and picks up everything from dust to pet hair with ease. It’s easy to move around and not too loud either. Makes cleaning way quicker and actually kind of satisfying. Photo included of the handheld device being used to vacuum cat hair from the sofa. Recommend this product.

Great Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been pleased with this vacuum so far. Going from primarily chargeable handheld vacuums to this canister vacuum shows emphasizes the difference in suction.
I like the auto feature which adjusts suction based on medium when swapping from hardwoods to carpet. The display to show the recommended power for various types of vacuuming (drapes, furniture, carpet, hardwood) is also a nice feature. Setup was easy and the cord/attachments store well.

I felt like a kid on Christmas opening and using this vacuum as soon it was delivered. Simple and quick setup with simple to use/learn functions. My favorite piece is how quiet it runs on auto for me. My previous vacuum would cause my cats to run and hide but this one didn’t stir them at all. The controls on the handle are an awesome feature as well. As well I’ve been enjoying the areas the head has been able to get under that were inaccessible previously. Highly recommend this vacuum.

The Ultimate vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 30 years ago my wife and I purchased an Electrolux canister vacuum and 10 years ago finally had to retire it. We have tried so many different vacuums over the years but none ever really measured up. The stick type are nice and light weight but you have to constantly clean them out, the standup type with a bag are better about not having to clean out but are so heavy and cumbersome to use attachments. A canister type vacuum is a great combination of both. When I heard Electrolux was coming out with a new canister we vowed to try it.
The Ultimate 800 is named appropriately as it gives you the best of all types of vacuums mentioned. The hand wand is light weight and the light is super bright to show dirt where you may have missed it without it. There is not a beater bar on it but the vacuum canister itself has plenty of suction power you don’t really need one. The Auto feature on the canister is also nice when going from rug to hard floor with it automatically switching speeds and suction power. If you don’t want it to do that it’s easily bypassed on the hand wand. There are two hand attachments the multitool one is stored in the canister itself and the pet hand attachment is loose, wish it had a storage space as well on the canister but not a big deal. I am not at all disappointed with this vacuum cleaner and would recommend it to anyone.

Ultimate 800 Cannister Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this vacuum! It was quick and easy set up. The directions were very easy to follow and understand. Once I assembled it and started using it I was very impressed. It moved smoothly around on my hardwood floors. It was easy to change the suction power through the handle when I switched from vacuuming the floors to my furniture. I used the attachment for the furniture easily and it picked up a lot of hair and lint from my couch. I used the 3 in 1 tool for my baseboards and fan blades. It got all the dust. The ability to adjust the length of the telescopic tube was perfect for going from the floor to the fan blades. It is easy to switch from one attachment to the other.

Great for hard surfaces
This is our second canister Electrolux vacuum. The first one lasted over 30 years and is still working except for the carpet head. We were very excited to get this new version and love the style and the light weight of the canister. The storage is clever and it is very easy to set up and use. The suction is unbelievable but the suction has 1 drawback. It is so strong that it doesn't work on carpet. We tried it on both a light pile carpet and berber carpet with no success. The vacuum head will not freely run across either carpet we tried it on. Overall, we still love this vacuum but we were disappointed that it won't work on carpet. If you have all hard wood floors, this is a perfect vacuum and the attachments work wonderfully.

Looks Like a Vacuum, Works Like a Shop Vac
READ BEFORE BUYING. If you're buying this to vacuum carpet, don't bother. There's no motorized power head on this thing. The LED lights run off two AA batteries, and the controls on the handle? It's literally just a remote control glued onto the wand. They did a clever job with the branding — if you search "Ultimate 800," everything that comes up is about their stick vacuum, not this canister model. It's sneaky.
This would be fine if your home is all hard floors with maybe a couple of thin area rugs. But I have pets, and without a brush roll, there's nothing actually agitating the carpet to pull the hair out. It's basically a shop vac dressed up to look like a home appliance. I'm honestly more annoyed at myself than anything; I should've dug a little deeper before hitting buy, especially now that I'm staring down a possible 10% restocking fee.
