Excellent portable projector with great sound and auto focus
I have been using the Epson EF12 projector for nine months and this is an excellent projector. I love the auto focus feature and the built in speaker. It is really compact and I take it with me when I travel.
I have also added a mount plate to it so I can attach it to a standard tripod. The image quality is excellent and it runs really cool thanks to the laser projection.

Perfect for outdoor movie night
I originally purchased a nebula cosmos laser DLP projector with built-in sound. The rainbow effect from the DLP technology was unacceptable and I returned it. The sound was also not great. I ended up replacing it with this projector, the EF 12. The Epson was half the price of the cosmos and by far the superior product. The projector is plenty bright, there is zero rainbow effect,And the sound is outstanding. I really cannot overemphasize how loud and clear the audio is. It blows the nebula away and is half the size. Yes, this projector desperately needs Netflix built-in, but I can’t let that keep me from giving this projector the five stars it deserves. If you are looking for the perfect outdoor projector for movie night, you have found it.

Instant on/off
When I get up I want the news as soon as possible. The EF12 turns on imidiately and plays the news right away. You cannot get that with a TV. When you turn it off, it is off at the same second! I have 135" clear picture within 3 meters. It fills my entire white wall. Sport on the big screen is awesome. The sound is a master piece from Yamaha! Laser clearness from Epson with 3 LCDs that brightens the colors seperately..

Everything we wanted and more!
This projector mixes the sleek portability of an iPad with a grandeur of a 150" screen. It's small and light enough to set up anywhere. The picture is crystal clear; the colors are vibrant and the sound is balanced and full. It has access to all of the top streaming apps except Netflix. But with one of the HDMI ports, you can plug in a streaming stick of your choice and cast your favorite Netflix show.

Fantastic Projector!!
The EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector is better than I expected. The clarity, color, video speed, sound quality and easy to setup. The projector is exactly what I have been looking to buy for years.
I also purchased the carrying case and it is worth the money. I expected a cheap bag, this is very high quality. I have recommended this projector to my family and friends. I can wait for summer for outdoor movie night in the backyard.

Perfect for families!
This Epson projector is amazing! The actual projector is quiet (no loud whirring distracting from the audio), it has crystal clear picture, and the sound quality is amazing. I love that I can just connect my phone via Bluetooth so I don't need to worry about wires and/or cables getting in the way.
We used it several times, including an impromptu movie "drive in" with our neighbors, which was a fun way to enjoy a movie while maintaining social distancing. The best part is that since the video is so clear and bright, even with our tan/off-white garage door, it didn't take away from the picture, and I didn't need to use a sheet or screen for it to work. The projector is also small enough to keep a low profile and lightweight, which makes setup so easy. I also enjoyed the remote control that came with it, so I didn't feel like I had to be right on top of the projector to get it setup. The original setup process was very user friendly and quick. I've only had it for a few weeks, but I haven't found anything I don't like about it yet!

Easy to use and portable
This is the perfect solution if you are looking for an outdoor projector and a good replacement for casual TV entertainment, very easy to setup (comes with Android TV), one of the best features is the auto picture skew & focus correction, which basically does everything for you, just place it in front of a wall and start playing your content. My kids loved the proyector, you can move it around the house, it’s so easy to use, that became the main device for my 6 years old son!!!, you can play video games too, I used a raspberry PI without a problem. You don’t really need an screen to use it, as you can see in the pictures, one of the walls is not flat but I was able to enjoy the content. I did a couple of tests in different conditions, you will get the best image in a controlled light environment but it’s still usable during daylight, another great feature is the sound, you can add speakers thru Bluetooth or HDMI (ARC), but the sound is powerful enough, very good bass too.

Great Portably & Extremely Capable
I’m writing this from a perspective of taking this on trips as well as home or office use. For the small size, this projector is really capable in many ways. First, If you find yourself on trips to field conditions such as in the military, this is a bit easier to deal with than what I’ve had to do in the past. Typically, I’d have to bring a projector or TV adapter as well as speakers & peripherals such as an Apple TV or other streaming adapter to provide any video related entertainment. This has the Android TV with all the community’s video apps available for it as well as a higher than normal quality Yamaha speakers built in. This reduces some of the stuff I need to bring. The connection design is on the side so when adding gaming systems, I have easy access & can simply swap the system.
The capability itself is also better than I expected. Looking at the photos I attached, the projection is overpowering my lights at 50% (& can still do well at 100% lighting). The contrast is still very good & with a more ideal placement, it can handle darks & lights with no difficulty. At around 7 to 8 feet, it is projecting around a 85-95” screen…I’m limited in this room by the room size. I projected this on my garage door & ran out of space again (pushing over 200”) with almost no need for lighting control. This could probably function as a theater projector for smaller theaters minus the need for an even larger sound system.
If you have office meetings in different rooms, this allows you to quickly set up a projector in any room with an outlet. This also allows connecting you phone wirelessly so you can avoid the need for bringing a laptop or needing a full computer system for meeting slides. My office uses TVs in many of our rooms for projections…this helps greatly as I’m not stuck with the smaller TVs. If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to have a home TV, this may be an option for you. Overall, I would recommend this to anybody looking for a large inexpensive display, with or without a need for portability…that’s just icing on the cake. HIGH PERFORMANCE
My kids have been asking for a projector forever! We finally have one and it is the best, it is super easy to plug in and start watching. The picture is so clear, the colors are so vibrant, and the sounds is absolutely perfect - Yamaha sounds - what more can you ask for. Best of all you don’t have to be an IT person to figure it out and set up.
It looks great wherever you decide to use it because it is compact and sleek and totally portable. It can be used for streaming or games so it is versatile. It is great for places in the house that there is no tv - especially outside on these summer nights. You can use it with or without a screen - works just great on the wall.
Treat yourself to this compact projector and enjoy it because you will not be disappointed. This is a review for the Epson Mini EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

BEST PURCHASE EVER!

This projector is absolutely amazing! The picture is clear as day and the speakers are loud and clear, and the base is surprisingly powerful! I love that we can stream our favorite movies and shows from our phones. It has great App support, and it is perfect for the outdoors! We have been using it outside on our garage door for neighbor get togethers. I love that it small, lightweight and easy to set up. I really recommend this product for its portability, ease of use, compactness, and most importantly the feature set. Its the best projector I have ever come across. This little projector is a lot of fun esp for friend and family gatherings.

The colors are crystal clear and you can project on a wall. The speakers are by Yamaha so the sound is of highest quality and I like the fact that you can control it. Great projector that is so easy to set up!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned a projector before and so I had a concern this would be difficult to use. What a breeze it was to set up right out of the box! It has AndroidTV built-in and so it was so easy to get access to streaming services after connecting it to the WiFi in my home. Adjustment of the projector was also simple to do to get the right picture on the walls and screens we have used.
It has a compact, sleek design which is appealing. It doesn't take up a lot of space and can be easily transported to do movie night outside or for the kids to bring to their rooms. The picture was really bright & crisp with amazing color. I also was surprised at the quality of sound generated. A portable movie theater on the go!
I would highly recommend this product. Very cool addition to our home that we will use a lot!

Best projector hands down!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The EpiqVision Mini EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector, is a total game changer! It isn't big and bulky like other projectors, I actually love how small it is. It was easy to set up & connect it to my WiFi. Legit like having a home theater with this projector. The picture quality is so insane! It is so clear and not all blurry. The screen size can get up to 150 inches, which is a big plus! It’s prefect for having movie nights with your family. My kids absolutely loved being able to watch a movie & they pretended they were at the movie theater. I also enjoyed being able to connect my gaming system to it. To me this could replace my actual tv. The Yamaha speakers that are built-in are so clear. It gets pretty loud. For it being the size it is , I didn’t think the sound would be as clear and loud as it is. I highly recommend this projector!

Powerful and Super Functional!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This projector is way beyond my expectation, in many ways:
- Design: This might not be something everyone consider but I do LOVE its stylish design, it is mass black with gold tone frame on top, in a box shape, looks way cooler than the flat irregular shaped options. It is not heavy so I can carry it around easily when we use it in different rooms.
- Easy to use: set up is super easy, took me 10 minutes to hook up with wifi, ipad, and even my phone. It comes with Android TV, Hulu, HBO, and of course, YouTube.
- Crispy picture quality: I just cannot believe the quality of the image is just outstanding, super crispy, beautiful color, even works great with natural light.
- Sound (Yamaha): Well the only thing I want to say is we started to use this as our standalone speaker, that's how great it is!!
This brings tons of fun to our family!

Top quality projector amazing resolution

Very Good Projector by Epson
this epson laser projector has very bright output. its clearly visible even in dark wall.
built in chrome cast definitely helps to watch phone content so easily.
built in android tv is best thing to happen.
The size is Compact for home cinema.
Yamaha audio is outstanding.. never expected to be so good.

Excellent Projector but no Netflix
The projector is terrific great picture and sound. However, you can't add Netflix on Android TV. I purchased a Roku stick to access Netflix.

EF-12 Review
I bought this a little over a week ago, and I am quite impressed with this product. The picture is good, and the automatic focus, and keynote works amazingly well. I cannot do a better job adjusting the focus and keystone myself. The only thing that I would change is the picture quality in darker scene's is difficult to see. But overall I am. very satisfied with this projector, and I would reccomened. The ease of use blows all other projectors out of the water. It truly is plug and play. Thank you Epson for making a wonderful product, and I'm excited to have plenty of movie nights with my family.

Work around for Netflix
Used for outdoor viewing past sunset. Great picture in low light settings. My work around for Netflix is connecting iPad to projector hdmi with lightning hdmi adaptor. The adaptic also has a usb c port that I can simultaneously charge the iPad. Works well. Fixed zoom is a downside

Love my new toy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited when this arrived! Tested this out and very pleased with this projector. The quality and sound impressed me! I have access to my apps HBO, YouTube to name a few! I have already put this test in my home and ready to set this outside for movie nights. The cord is short so I will need to set up an extension cord and watch movies in the back patio. Plus the connection to WiFi is another added feature! You won’t be disappointed.
I wished they had a cover for the lens. You really have to be careful when you are transporting this to not touch the lens. The unit is not heavy at all. Definitely portable.

Great for outdoor spaces

The sound is great it is a compact projector so it won’t take up a lot of room. This would be a great Father’s Day gift. The remote gives you easy access to YouTube and other streaming services which is a plus as well. I’m surprised by how loud the speaker was!! Also great if you don’t want a tv to take up space but still want the option to watch tv. Definitely recommend

Audio problems
I am not able to connect a roku and stream audio bluetooth at the same time to my soundbar or portable speaker using HDMI inputs. Sad because I want to use this as a home theater projector as user friendly.

Big fail
Setup was easy. I love the portability. Sound is nice. Display is not the best. Can't get Netflix on it. Unable to adjust screen size unless you move the entire projector closer to the wall for a smaller image or further away from the wall for a larger image. This projector is a fail. I will be returning it.
