Nice Vivid Images / Large Projector
I was completely surprised when I found out how large this projector is. I hadn't paid much attention to the dimensions or weight of the unit until I purchased it and notice how large the box was. This unit was recommended by a reputable source as one of the best home theater projectors on the market. So, I made my decision based on that information and it’s cost. There was another Epson projector that was recommended as being better but it was $1000 more. I owned a Panasonic PT-L500U HDTV Projector for over 17 years and it went out on me and at the time I purchased it, it was the best on the market. The technological advances over the years required not only a new projector but a new A/V receiver and other components. As stated in the beginning, the size of this projector was so much larger than the Panasonic projector (weight 7 lbs vs 25 lbs) that I was tempted to replace it with a smaller projector but the cost/value/capabilities weren't there. After setting up the projector it was easy to adjust the lens, however, I still don't have the keystone set properly. The color and vividness of the projector was great. I would recommend purchasing a tuning DVD to get the colors and contrast optimized. I noticed a considerable improvement in picture quality after calibrating the unit. The cost of a DVD is minimal, at around $20, relative to the benefit. The DVDs I purchased were “Digital Video Essentials” and “Disney WOW” both are great at optimizing the projector. In fact, a calibration DVD should be provided by the Projector OEM. They also should provide printed Owners Manuals that would make the set-up much easier. I noticed my previous components all included printed Owners Manuals, the ones I purchased nowadays don’t. Overall, I would definitely recommend this projector but make sure you have a steady mount.

Surprise!!!!
Oh boy, what a surprise!!! For the price, the 4010 is outstanding!!! The brightness and contrast, out of the box, is a marvel. Do not hesitate, you eont regret acquiring this gem!!!!

Thoroughly Please
This is the first projector I've ever purchased, and for the most part I'm very pleased with it. The picture is crisp, it's easy to operate, the throw length is incredible, and the menus are straightforward. We use it for movies and regular TV viewing and it's performed like a champ. The only shortcoming is it's inability to do 4k 60Hz. It's limited to just 30Hz. Other than that, I love this projector and highly recommend it.

Beautiful, Bright, Vibrate Colors and Deep Blacks
I upgraded from a 10 year old Epson Home Cinema 8350 and what a change! Very happy with the 4010. I love that the vents and intake are no longer on the back and that it has the automatic lens shield.

My eyes could not believed the greatness of this product!
I was hesitant to buy this product because of the price. I installed it and my mind was amazed on the quality and the greatness of this product. The picture is so perfect it makes you want to go to the projector screen and touch it. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants quality pictures.

Awesome projector for home theatre.
I have owned 2 projectors the first was a Sanyo plv-z4 which was great for its time. The Epson 4010 blows it away it is so much brighter and quieter as well as a super clear picture. Buy it you wont be disapointed.

EPSON PERFECTION WITH 4010!
Just want to say I am so impressed with my UPGRADE TO A EPSON 4010.. I originally had a 2150 , but decided i wanted the next level.. WELL WORTH WHAT I PAID so the whole family can enjoy our home theater..

HAD THIS ABOUT 6 WEEKS AND I'M SUPER PLEASED WITH THIS PROJECTOR ; MY PRIMARY REASON FOR BUYING WAS FOR THE 3D WHICH IS NO LONGER BEING PRODUCED IN THE TV MARKET AND I HAVE A 3D LIBRARY OF FILMS ; To MAKE IT SHORT THE 3D IS MUCH BETTER THAN MY DLP EVER WAS , And NOT ONLY THAT MY WIFE LOVES TO WATCH HER CHRISTMAS MOVIES ON OUR 110 DIAGONAL SCREEN , SO I GIVE IT A BIG THUMBS UP .

Couldn't be better
I had a Home Cinema 5020UB for 7 years and used it approx 7,000 hours. Unit was trouble free except for maintenance items , 2 bulbs , 3200 hrs on first and 3500 on 2nd and Air Filter. Yesterday I upgraded to the Home Cinema 4010 4K. I was pleasently surprised with the picture. Just about as good as our 52" 4k Samsung TV. I pushed in the wall in my basement 3.5" to make a 6ft x 11ft screen and painted the wall with Sherwin Williams Pro white satin finish.
You won't be disappointed with this Projector. It'll make a perfct Xmas present for the man cave

Like Being at the Movie Theater
I have had the 4010 projector for over a month in my home theater room. It is ultra bright, quiet and the picture quality is excellent. I replaced my Panasonic after a lightning strike and I must say the features, quality and picture is much better. I have ot used it's 4K capability but can not imagine the picture being any better but I am anxious to find out.

Great projector for the price!!
The first thing you notice when you get this projector is its massive size. This is one of the biggest projectors out there. The size does indeed make up for the solid build quality. When I first turn it on the picture quality is much brighter out of the box than my previous projector (the JVC dla-x590r).Even though the JVC has better black levels, the Epson is much brighter and the colors are much vibrant on screen. When viewing 4k HDR content the overall picture is crystal clear, sharp, and colorful. It has tons of presets to play with so I would definitely recommend calibrating this projector correctly to get the best 4k HDR picture. Overall this is an excellent projector for the price with all things considered.

Easy Setup, Great Picture
Very easy, intutive menu and the absolute best feature besides the superb picture is the lens shift which allows you to perfectly align the picture with your screen edges. I was hesitant at first to go over my budget for this projector but am really glad I did as this is my first AND LAST projector to buy.

Love it
We love our 4010. The picture quality is excellent for both 4K and 3d movies. I really love the ability to control the focus and placement of the image using the remote. Once you get it right, it doesn’t move. With our previous projector changing focus or alignment manually was a painful process requiring multiple attempts to get it right after removing your hands. Noise level is great. Brightness is perfect for our basement theater location we can even leave some lighting on without negatively effect on the picture. We would definitely recommend this projector.

Dramatic Impression
This is the third projector I have had over the past 20 years. Each one was considered the best available in the mid price range for home theater use. We are still using the original Da-Lite 108" screen set 13' from the projector ceiling mount. The projector is in a dedicated room with 100% light control. Everyone who has seen the 4010 image from a satellite source or a streaming source has been very impressed. What a dramatic improvement over the years. The installation went
smoothly with a few minor adjustments as suggested in an online review. Highly recommend this projector to anyone who can control ambient lighting.

Awesome Projector
Was trying to decide between this and the epson 5040 ub or the optoma uhd60 but ultimately went with this one. Very bright picture. 4k content is incredible. I have been nothing except extremely satisfied with it. Even my wife who did not want me to buy a new projector loves it. Absolutely incredible.

Phenomenal Projector!
This is my third Home theater projector. It is by far the best. Picture quality is great setup and adjustability are easy. The device starts and shuts down quickly and while running is nice and quiet. I don't think I could be .ore pleased with any projector. Thanks Epson!

Awesome projector for the money
This is an awesome projector. Best value for money. Using it for a month and I am extremely happy with the product. Only downside it does not have audio out or speakers. AV receiver is required.

Love it!
My third projector 1st was my Panasonic it was good, 2 was my Optoma HD it was a nice step up. The Epson 4010 is a big leap in quality of image. I don't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Great Picture but BIG PROJECTOR
Have been using this for about 2 months now. The setup and picture is great. This is my first projector and I was shocked at how big it is. Just be aware if you have space constraints for mounting or the like.
The lens memory is a great feature as I'm using this with a Cinemascope screen, so I can easily shift between memory settings for movie and regular viewing. However, the lens memory does not seem to go back to the exact position every time. It seems to be off by an inch or two. It's not hard to readjust with the automatic lens adjustment from the controller, but it's odd why it is off every time. I use several streaming apps via a ROKU Ultra and also have an LG UHD player hooked up to it. I don't notice any real difference between the streaming quality and the UHD discs, which makes me wonder if the streaming quality is this good or the HDR content is not coming through. I'm still playing with this as the UHD player has only been used twice. So far, I'm happy with the purchase.
