Hello, no this is not self defrost. You will have to unplug the machine and leave the door open to defrost it.

Can this be put in a cabinet?
Hello, thank you for the question. No this product cannot be placed in the cabinet due to the fact that the fan is in the back which needs proper air flow in order to work properly.

what's the Hight of the shelves ?
Hello Claudia, The Shelves are 8 inches and there is 6 inches of space between both shelves. These shelves are not removable or adjustable.
This little Freezer is very energy efficient and a sleek design.
