I just came onto the website to get information to recommend this service to a family member and saw all of the negative comments.
We're a small household that drinks lots of water and we only replace the filter once a year (fridge has an indicator light to tell us when) since late 2017. The water and ice are delicious.
The service does exactly what it says - gives you plenty of time to change the subscription if you want to.
It does take a little time and effort to take out the old filter, replace and clear the line of air bubbles and maybe a little carbon dust. I never have to do it for as long as the refrigerator manual says. I'm very happy with these filters. I wish there was a recycling option like there was when I first subscribed - my only complaint but I have that complaint with most consumables!

Counterfits!
My wife asked for me to replace our Everydrop refrigerator filter. She had three in storage. The first one I installed blocked the water flow completely. I tried reinstalling it three times, with no success. When I reinstalled the old filter, no problems. I decided that it must be defective so I tried another filter. This one allowed some water to pass through, but not as much, and I had great difficulty clearing the air out. So it was noisy. When I compared the new filters to the old one, I noticed that the top molding was not identical. The new filters had a more noticeable bevel and was shiny, while the old one looked rough like it had been ground after molding. The labels looked identical, but the new ones had been applied slightly lower than on the old one, and the shade of green ink used was different. On the bottom of the filter the old one had an molded-in arrow and some text indicating which way to turn it which was missing on the new ones. I pulled out the third filter to compare with the two defective one. The packaging was identical, except for one tiny detail: the hologram label on the defective filters was not actually a hologram! The third filter looked identical to the old one, and when I installed it it worked perfectly. I asked my wife where she purchased the filters from, and she recalled that she had purchased two on eBay. Upon checking the site, it was gone with a note that it had been removed "for policy violations".

Water Filter Quality
I've been buying these filters for a while now. Work fine, I need to replace about every 6-months, probably due to the water in my area. Easy to replace, per their specs removes many chemicals I'm concerned about. The cheaper ones don't show removal of all the chemicals this one removes. Spend the extra $$, get quality.
