This is my 2nd purchase of the same unit. After running 24/7 for 5 years, the first gave out. I am very impressed that the original lasted that long. Not much these days running all the time can last.

New humidifier solves coil icing of old unit.
Friedrich 35 pint dehumidifier is just the right size for our basement and was easy to carry.
This is a replacement for the old Frigidaire unit that developed severe coil icing after nearly two years. The Friedrich is a better design and the display gives temperature and humidity. I also have the hose connected to it that dumps into the French drain. It has been running to provide 55% humidity for two months in a 20x50ft basement.

This was the exact models replacing my 2 year old modeled destroyed when my hot water heater exploded and made my basement an indoor swimming pool.

Great product
Easy operation easy set up and noticeably dryer in my basement built in pump is very convienent was able to route the tube into my drain for my washing machine so no dumping a tank every day

Friedrich 35 pint dehumidifier works very well
This is a very quiet unit with ample controls. The automatic drain is a plus and the tube is about 15 feet long. This allowed me to drain into a shower with the unit well into the room.

Works great. Be prepared after 23 hours of continuous running it will automatically shut off for an hour and display an hour message of FA . After about an hour it’ll automatically turned back on. Continuous pump works amazing as I have it routed to a drain in the basement

Works beautifully

Excellent dehumidifier!
Very efficient and very quiet. Easily handles our large basement. The best part is not having to empty the water tank as the water is automatically pumped up the hose to the outdoors. This 35 pint unit replaced my older 50 pint Friedrich unit.

I hope somebody read this before returning etc
We purchased this dehumidifier before the season of humidity and dampness I want to set up this unit recently and open the box there is no information in the instructions about where the hose is located for the pump option I almost called Customer Service a day later. When it says nothing in the manual about where the hose is located guess what it’s inside the drain tub would know to look in there? They could not put in the instruction said it was in there or if a sticker on the outside?

DISSAPOINTED
THIS DEHUMIDIFIER IS DIFFICULT TO USE WITHOUT THE DRAIN PUMP. SINCE I DO NOT HAVE DRAINAGE IN MY BASEMENT I HAVE TO EMPTY IT BY REMOVING THE ATTACHED BUCKET AND CARRY IT TO A DRAIN TO DISCARD THE WATER. IN ADDITION, BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN OF THE BUCKET IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO EMPTY IT WITHOUT SPILLING WATER. THE FIRST TIME I USED IT THE BUCKET HANDLE CAME OFF AND I HAD A PROBLEM. IN ADDITION THERE IS NO AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF.

3 broken dehumidifier, they don’t last
I’ve had 3 Friedrich 35 Pint 2-Speed Dehumidifier with Built-In Drain Pump break. Specifically the built in pump. And it’s pain bribing it back to the store with their warranty and watch it break in a year.

Stopped working
After winter season, unplugged and stored and in the spring compressor would not turn on to remove water. I purchased a new one and the next year kept it plugged in all winter and sure enough in spring, the fan would run constantly but the compressor would not turn on to remove moisture. Works great for one season.

two that do not work
Bought this for basement to replace a 20 year old Kenmore DeHumidifier that the only reason we replaced was due to bad plug.. Had first unit for about 4 months and stopped working. Went to store and I will say that salesperson allowed me to replace and swapped out for brand new unit. Same issue, worked for about 2 months and stopped removing moisture and has not worked since. Very disappointed with this brand and company..
