Friedrich 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner

It cools my 550 sq. ft. space quickly and operates with minimal noise, even at higher settings. Installation was simple, and I appreciate that the design still allows the window to open. The inverter technology keeps energy use efficient without sacrificing performance, and the WiFi feature makes it easy to control remotely. Overall, it’s a quiet, powerful, and convenient unit that I highly recommend.

Cool comfort for your space
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Friedrich Chill Premier CCV12A10A is a window air conditioner that's perfect for tackling the heat in a single room or even a garage. I've been using this unit, and it's definitely a little powerhouse for its size.
What really stands out about the CCV12A10A is how quickly and effectively it cools down a targeted area. This unit wastes no time in bringing the temperature down to a comfortable level. The airflow is strong, and it does a great job of circulating cool air, making sure there are no stuffy corners. Plus, for a window unit, it's surprisingly quiet. You can definitely still hear it, but it's more of a gentle hum than a disruptive roar, which is a big win.
A quick but super important tip: Before you even think about buying, measure your window opening carefully! Nothing's worse than getting ready for installation only to find out your new AC won't fit. Installation was pretty straightforward, as far as window ACs go, once I knew it would fit. It felt snug and secure. While it might not have all the bells and whistles of a smart home system, its controls are easy to understand and use.

Works great!

Quiet, easy to install, very cold A/C
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This things cools very, very well. I'm using it for a 600sf project room separate from the house and it cools it down quickly despite minimal insulation and being a bit undersized for the space.
Installation is simple with very easy to follow instructions. The unit is extremely quiet and doesn't rattle. There is an app and the connectivity instructions are easy just like any other connected device you have. Overall, I love this unit.

A must have Brand for your Air conditioner needs!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooling capacity is better and colder than any air conditioning unit I've had in the past!!! I have the air conditioner on low and the temperature set to 62 degrees and it's freezing in the entire downstairs area of my home...i love this air conditioner!!!!! You barely even know it's on because it makes close to no noise at all and the wifi capabilities along with the App that I've installed on my cell phone allows me to control it when I'm not home...if it's a really hot day I can go in the App and put the unit in high and set the temperature to whatever ide like ...it's so modern and so easy to read the digital screen on the air conditioner....you can either press the buttons manually or use the remote or the App on the phone to control it...I have never been so happy with an air conditioner that I am with this brand!!!! It's exceeded my expectations and was so easy to install as well!!!! I highly recommend this brand and this air conditioner because you will enjoy the summer months nice and cool and comfortable in your home and you can even use it for extra heat in the winter months... I plan on buying this same unit for upstairs in my home, and this is a brand that I will definitely keeps buying products from , from here on out!!! I absolutely love it!!!

Easy install, wifi convenience

Quiet and Alexa connected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We converted our little room in our garage to a study space and this unit is perfect. Works well with Alexa so if I’m back upstairs and forgot to turn off the unit I can do it via Alexa. It’s powerful and pretty quiet. The only problem is that it’s pretty heavy and it was hard to install. We also had to cut out a spot for the AC unit. Not sure how much the energy cost will be since we just got it going but so far, wonderful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new Friedrich Smart Air Conditioner. First, It's super easy to install. Anyone can do it, and it comes with everything you need. The unit runs great, and is very quiet compared to other units I have used. The remote is easy to use, and so is the app. I love being able to turn the unit off while I'm at work to save energy, but be able to run it with the click of a button to cool down my room before returning home. So convenient! 5 stars overall!

Get Friedrich If You Want a Quiet AC
Yes, you pay a bit more, but this model is well worth it. Prior to this unit, I was using the old AC left by the prior tenant. It was loud, bulky, and required cushioning to prevent a vibrating noise. It was time to switch it out for my smaller, old Frigidaire that I used for four years, but had left unused in my closet for five years. After the trouble of having the super swap them out, it was only blowing around hot air. I made the trip to PC Richard’s the next day to find me a replacement for the 95 degree weather.
I did research the options on the website prior to, but this model/brand was not on my radar because it did not have even close to the number of reviews for the Frigidaire/GE ACs. I was set on either brand.
So glad the sales associate introduced this brand/unit to me. It has quiet mode, which is very helpful when you work remotely. No need to turn it off, just set to quiet. I use the sleep function every night followed by turning off the bright LED screen. Quietest AC I have ever owned/experienced in my life! She is also smart so I can switch her on while I’m on my way home. I walk into an apartment that’s already cool. If you want the AC experts, go with Friedrich!

Great A/C; love the sleep mode
Great A/C. The sleep mode is a marvel, allowing the unit to go into a super quiet state and also monitor the room temperature so it doesn't get too cold overnight. I took one star off only because I didn't realize that it doesn't have a fan setting that allows in fresh air. I learned later that most A/Cs don't offer that anymore. The feature that allows you to open the window doesn't work in my case because of the way the unit had to be attached to the frame. Oh well.

Quiet A/C.
Absolutely love the quiet, since its in my bedroom and now able to have it on overnight and not wake up with a headache due to the AC noise. This AC you hardly know its own if it wasn't for the super bright temperature display.

Terrible
Terrible. We returned it. Unbearably noisy in three ways. Compressor turns on and off, something rhythmically clicks, and the fan hums unevenly.
