Solid Air Conditioner - Great job at cooling
It’s a solid air conditioner. The in/out chassis makes the install easy. It cools our living area/kitchen in the apartment quickly even on low. It’s louder than I anticipated, but that is from the fan blowing and not from the compressor (that part is relatively quiet). That sound from the fan may just be a product of it being 12,000 btu as opposed to being a bad product. A smaller unit may be quieter. Maybe someday window units will make less noise, but I can’t complain about its ability to cool an apartment. Wifi hookup was also very simple and controlling it from the app is a nice perk (and more user friendly than my Frigidaire app).

Louder than my old Friedrich. Defaults to money saver when turned on which is inconvenient. Cooling good. Need magnetized brackets and screws. Very hard to install from second floor without dropping in bushes below.

Good brand, great salesperson
This brand is known for quality construction. I did my research on many firms, and came back to Friedrich. I expected this model to be quieter, but the models that have the air vents across the top tend to be louder than the models with air vents that are vertical - going top to bottom along one side of unit. While this specific model is still loud, it is less noisy than my 11 year old AC that stopped working. It cools the room in five minutes, perfect BTU's for my room size. Salesman who assisted us was fast, efficient, and was very helpful and rung us up with no issues! And he also helped us with another appliance in a different dept. Ask for ALEX E. in the 2323 Central Park Ave Yonkers location for great service and help! Kudos to Alex E.!!

Has anyone used a professional installer provided by P.C. Richard for installing a wall air conditioner?
Yes. We have had 3 installed by their installers. 2 worked out perfectly, but the 3rd not so much. The guys didn't clean up. Left a horrible mess, including all the packaging. Nails sticking out of wood strips they had cut. They didn't even cover the floor with anything. Took hours to clean up the mess, inside & out. To top it off, they didn't even put the unit where we wanted it, and it is now an eyesore in my dining room & out ssd's code my front door. Additionally, the plug did not reach the outlet, so we had to buy a heavy duty extension cord....
