Friedrich 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner

It cools my 550 sq. ft. space quickly and operates with minimal noise, even at higher settings. Installation was simple, and I appreciate that the design still allows the window to open. The inverter technology keeps energy use efficient without sacrificing performance, and the WiFi feature makes it easy to control remotely. Overall, it’s a quiet, powerful, and convenient unit that I highly recommend.

Cool comfort for your space
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Friedrich Chill Premier CCV12A10A is a window air conditioner that's perfect for tackling the heat in a single room or even a garage. I've been using this unit, and it's definitely a little powerhouse for its size.
What really stands out about the CCV12A10A is how quickly and effectively it cools down a targeted area. This unit wastes no time in bringing the temperature down to a comfortable level. The airflow is strong, and it does a great job of circulating cool air, making sure there are no stuffy corners. Plus, for a window unit, it's surprisingly quiet. You can definitely still hear it, but it's more of a gentle hum than a disruptive roar, which is a big win.
A quick but super important tip: Before you even think about buying, measure your window opening carefully! Nothing's worse than getting ready for installation only to find out your new AC won't fit. Installation was pretty straightforward, as far as window ACs go, once I knew it would fit. It felt snug and secure. While it might not have all the bells and whistles of a smart home system, its controls are easy to understand and use.
Overall, if you need a reliable, efficient, and reasonably quiet window air conditioner to keep a specific room or space cool and comfortable, the Friedrich Chill Premier CCV12A10A is a fantastic choice. It's a solid little unit that delivers big on cooling comfort.

Friedrich Chill Premier 15,000 BTU Air Conditioner
Replaced our 20 year old AirTemp unit with this one. The Friedrich is lighter, quieter and cost about the same. The inverter technology, low energy draw and courtesy from P.C. Richard are the biggest reasons for this purchase.

Quiet, easy to install, very cold A/C
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This things cools very, very well. I'm using it for a 600sf project room separate from the house and it cools it down quickly despite minimal insulation and being a bit undersized for the space.
Installation is simple with very easy to follow instructions. The unit is extremely quiet and doesn't rattle. There is an app and the connectivity instructions are easy just like any other connected device you have. Overall, I love this unit.

A must have Brand for your Air conditioner needs!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooling capacity is better and colder than any air conditioning unit I've had in the past!!! I have the air conditioner on low and the temperature set to 62 degrees and it's freezing in the entire downstairs area of my home...i love this air conditioner!!!!! You barely even know it's on because it makes close to no noise at all and the wifi capabilities along with the App that I've installed on my cell phone allows me to control it when I'm not home...if it's a really hot day I can go in the App and put the unit in high and set the temperature to whatever ide like ...it's so modern and so easy to read the digital screen on the air conditioner....you can either press the buttons manually or use the remote or the App on the phone to control it...I have never been so happy with an air conditioner that I am with this brand!!!! It's exceeded my expectations and was so easy to install as well!!!! I highly recommend this brand and this air conditioner because you will enjoy the summer months nice and cool and comfortable in your home and you can even use it for extra heat in the winter months... I plan on buying this same unit for upstairs in my home, and this is a brand that I will definitely keeps buying products from , from here on out!!! I absolutely love it!!!

Connection to smart phone was seamless, we’ve been using this in my husbands garage so there’s no central air connection, and it’s great to be able to use our phones to set the temperature before we get ready to go out there and watch tv, and if we forget to shut it off before we come inside we can turn it off remotely ! Definitely quick to cool down, but we are only using it to cool one “room” albeit a very large “room” as it’s a garage lol not super noisy at all and easy to stop noticing quickly !

A tier above other ac units

It easily cools the whole first floor of our 1700 sq ft home and the best part is that it does so quietly. The auto air sweep feature is interesting. The lateral panel moves up and down softly to distribute the cool air in the room. The ac connects to an app which enables Alexa controls on Wi-fi. It also comes with a remote. Installing the ac was easy with the retractable side panels and brackets included. Overall quality is impressive and better than any other ac unit we’ve ever owned.

Quiet and Alexa connected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We converted our little room in our garage to a study space and this unit is perfect. Works well with Alexa so if I’m back upstairs and forgot to turn off the unit I can do it via Alexa. It’s powerful and pretty quiet. The only problem is that it’s pretty heavy and it was hard to install. We also had to cut out a spot for the AC unit. Not sure how much the energy cost will be since we just got it going but so far, wonderful!

This is a great unit. It is whisper quiet. Even when the compressor is on. I opted to have it installed for me. The 2 men were quick and efficient. They also removed my old unit for recycling.

5 Star AC Unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new Friedrich Smart Air Conditioner. First, It's super easy to install. Anyone can do it, and it comes with everything you need. The unit runs great, and is very quiet compared to other units I have used. The remote is easy to use, and so is the app. I love being able to turn the unit off while I'm at work to save energy, but be able to run it with the click of a button to cool down my room before returning home. So convenient! 5 stars overall!

Very quiet
We. Had an 11yeàr old unit replaced with the new Frederick unit. While both being the same size and power the new unit is extremely quiet and efficient. You don't even don't even hear it wow you were in the room.

A Lot of Tech for The Price
I installed this unit through a block wall of my 230 square foot office in my single story flat roof building. The reason why I installed such a large unit are as follows:
1. This is the smallest unit of its class with a slide-in chassis, permitting through-wall installation.
2. I have a rolled hot roof. Even with insulation, the office becomes oven-like. So, I had to compensate for the added heat.
3. The inverter drive allows the compressor to ramp down to a lower cooling capacity, so there is no short-cycling like there would be with a line voltage compressor unit.
I'm extremely happy with the cooling capacity and functionality. It's nice to hear the compressor ramp up and down depending on demand, and the condenser fan to follow suit. I've found that the best performance and setpoint resolution occurs when the evaporator fan is set to its highest setting, and "Money Saver" mode is turned off. This forces all other variables (compressor RPM, condenser fan RPM, expansion valve position) to keep up with the evaporator inlet air temperature.
The "FriedrichGo" app setup process was horrendous. The app itself is decent, a major flaw being that it will not show the current temperature. Another issue I had was getting the front panel off, which is a prerequisite to removing the chassis from the sleeve. Both of these issues required phone calls to Friedrich support, and wasted my valuable time.
Overall, for the price, you can't beat the tech. There is a lot going on inside this unit. Multiple motor frequency drives, a bunch of temperature sensors, and a pretty decent amount of logic to control it all. I'm pretty happy with the simple panel interface, and I'm relieved there is no color touch screen.

Frederich best A/C
I bought a Frederich 15,000 btu air conditioner. I can barely hear it. It is definitely library quiet the way it is advertised. It cools the whole house. It is very efficient. It comes with a remote control so you are able to manage it without having to get up and walk over to the unit. It is WiFi compatible. I would definitely recommend this product. Love this A/C. Glad I bought it.
