Friedrich 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner

Cool comfort for your space
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Friedrich Chill Premier CCV12A10A is a window air conditioner that's perfect for tackling the heat in a single room or even a garage. I've been using this unit, and it's definitely a little powerhouse for its size.
What really stands out about the CCV12A10A is how quickly and effectively it cools down a targeted area. This unit wastes no time in bringing the temperature down to a comfortable level. The airflow is strong, and it does a great job of circulating cool air, making sure there are no stuffy corners. Plus, for a window unit, it's surprisingly quiet. You can definitely still hear it, but it's more of a gentle hum than a disruptive roar, which is a big win.
A quick but super important tip: Before you even think about buying, measure your window opening carefully! Nothing's worse than getting ready for installation only to find out your new AC won't fit. Installation was pretty straightforward, as far as window ACs go, once I knew it would fit. It felt snug and secure. While it might not have all the bells and whistles of a smart home system, its controls are easy to understand and use.

Quiet, easy to install, very cold A/C
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This things cools very, very well. I'm using it for a 600sf project room separate from the house and it cools it down quickly despite minimal insulation and being a bit undersized for the space.
Installation is simple with very easy to follow instructions. The unit is extremely quiet and doesn't rattle. There is an app and the connectivity instructions are easy just like any other connected device you have. Overall, I love this unit.

A must have Brand for your Air conditioner needs!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooling capacity is better and colder than any air conditioning unit I've had in the past!!! I have the air conditioner on low and the temperature set to 62 degrees and it's freezing in the entire downstairs area of my home...i love this air conditioner!!!!! You barely even know it's on because it makes close to no noise at all and the wifi capabilities along with the App that I've installed on my cell phone allows me to control it when I'm not home...if it's a really hot day I can go in the App and put the unit in high and set the temperature to whatever ide like ...it's so modern and so easy to read the digital screen on the air conditioner....you can either press the buttons manually or use the remote or the App on the phone to control it...I have never been so happy with an air conditioner that I am with this brand!!!! It's exceeded my expectations and was so easy to install as well!!!! I highly recommend this brand and this air conditioner because you will enjoy the summer months nice and cool and comfortable in your home and you can even use it for extra heat in the winter months... I plan on buying this same unit for upstairs in my home, and this is a brand that I will definitely keeps buying products from , from here on out!!! I absolutely love it!!!

Quiet and Alexa connected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We converted our little room in our garage to a study space and this unit is perfect. Works well with Alexa so if I’m back upstairs and forgot to turn off the unit I can do it via Alexa. It’s powerful and pretty quiet. The only problem is that it’s pretty heavy and it was hard to install. We also had to cut out a spot for the AC unit. Not sure how much the energy cost will be since we just got it going but so far, wonderful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new Friedrich Smart Air Conditioner. First, It's super easy to install. Anyone can do it, and it comes with everything you need. The unit runs great, and is very quiet compared to other units I have used. The remote is easy to use, and so is the app. I love being able to turn the unit off while I'm at work to save energy, but be able to run it with the click of a button to cool down my room before returning home. So convenient! 5 stars overall!

Friedrich Chill Premier Series 8,000 BTU SmPre000
Purchased during a heat wave that’s proven only to be the start of rolling heat waves and high humidity/dew points. This unit has been operating like a champ! Cools quickly, and is very quiet. And it’s very responsive to changes made to temperature. These reviews are always asked for when you 1st receive things- hope it’s just as good in a year or 2!

Excellent AC
Just bought it and installed, and it works wonders. Immediately felt the difference compared to my old worn out AC unit. It's very quiet and I don't know why someone said it was noisy. All I would say it's best for smaller windows. My window is too big for it, but i'll make do and cover up any open gaps with insulation tape. A good investment for a hot summer, especially rooms with poor air flow and hot spots.

Comfortably quiet!
This unit is perfect for one of my bedrooms, as it's quiet and doesn't disrupt sleep. I have 2 older Friedrich Air Conditioners purchased in 2007 which are considerably louder when turning on and off. This unit cools the bedroom quickly and keeps it comfortable thru the night. Definitely recommend!

Good Quiet AC Unit
The air conditioner is good quiet unit. Thorough instructions are included to help set it up in the window. WiFi connectivity is another story. Friedrich App for this unit is no longer available in the US. I discovered the Smart Life app that use for remote outlets is compatible. It is necessary to set the WiFi to AP mode to configure it. Once in AP mode the Smart Life app recognized the air conditioner and completed the setup. I use an older 2.4 GHz Router to coonect the remote switces, oultets, my pellet grill, and now my Friedrich air conditioner.

Overall it's a good option.
I liked the air conditioner from Friedrich. It is high quality made very well. The only thing I didn't like is that its compressor vibrates when it works at full capacity. But if the compressor works at low speeds, then there is no vibration sound. But it also cools equally at low compressor speeds. You can control the compressor speed only by setting the temperature on the air conditioner correctly. If you have 78F in your room and you want 73F, then if you set 73 on the AC, the compressor will vibrate. Because it will try to reduce the temperature by 5 at once, but then it will rotate the compressor at full power at high speeds and the vibration sound will be heard.But then if you put the number 78 or 77 in place of 73, that is, with a difference of 1 or 2 F, then the compressor will rotate at low speeds and there will be no vibration sound. After the temperature has dropped by 2F, reduce the temperature on the AC by another 2F and thus reach the desired temperature at low compressor speeds. But unfortunately, this can also be affected by very hot weather, when the outside temperature is 100F and above, then the compressor will also work at full capacity.But in any case, low compressor speeds mean a low budget. And if the Friedrich company had installed a dual inverter compressor (like LG) on their ACs instead of a regular inverter, they would have been the best on the market. Another thing is that at low compressor speeds, the hissing of freon is heard in the air conditioner radiator. But as far as I understand, this is not a negative, because this works on all energy-saving air conditioners, for example on my LG, there this sound is also present at low compressor speeds. But this is a very low sound in relation to the sound of compressor vibration and it does not interfere. And its fan is completely silent if you switch it to fan mode. And only on air conditioners from Friedrich I see radiator plates with anti-corrosion coating. They are blue with this coating.
